The H1N1 Virus

So as not to give you the wrong idea, I'm not banging on the government.. yet.

I heard on the radio yesterday that the US will only have about half of the vaccine it needs by October to battle the H1N1 - Mexican flu virus - because "it takes a long time to create using the chicken egg method.

I happen to know about a company that has a new way to produce this and other vaccines without using chicken eggs that is a lot faster. It's call Vaccine Like Particle - VLP and you can read about it on their website. I've been following them for a few years now. And they do produce other flu vaccines that are in use currently.

The company is Novavax (NVAX)

The first paragraph from the H1N1 section as follows:

I would be a customer for a commute to work and back and trips to the store vehicle for sure.

I'll tell ya though, if Chevy Volts end up going for 30-40K, or anything above 20k for that matter, they'll have to march me in to a dealer with a gun to my head to buy one. Ain't gonna happen. Health Care Must Stay Private.

Without offending anyone who is righteously pointing out the evil that is in the current versions of health care bills, as I think there is some value to that with respect to shining a light on just how the entire subject is reduced to dollars for the government, it pains me to see everyone in the media who are battling it spend all their time on details.

As if to suggest that if we could only remove the evil that is in the current health care bill, it would be OK.

It will never be OK to turn health care over to the government. The bill could offer free care of your choice for life and I wouldn't vote for it because as soon as the government gets their hands on it they will pervert it to the point of demoralizing the health professionals, reducing quality, and rationing and denying through rationing, care to people who need it and use it the most. Your Dad. Your Mom. Your Grand Parents. You and I in later life.

This is the same government that tested biological weapons on their own people. This is the same government that tested the effects of Atomic bombs on large numbers of Army personnel. I could go on.

How can you possibly think that turning over a service so critical and personal for you to the government could possibly be a sane thing to do ?

I heard the statistic today that 65% of young people (under 30) are in favor of government run health care. I can believe it. I'm surprised it's not higher. I talk to these dudes all the time. They don't have health care because they don't want to pay for something they don't really feel they need. Who can blame them. The Gov comes along with this total bullshit story and they're happy to take the "easy way out" and let government take it over.

I can understand that too. They figure if the gov really fouls it up, some political party will come along in the next 35 years and fix it before they really need it. But that's not true. Canada and the UK and any other socialist hell hole are proof that these programs never end. Ronald Reagan said that the only thing with eternal life is a government program. HELL, and imagine one that brings in One Seventh of the National GDP in Dollars for them.

One thing they don't realize is that they will have to fork out 7% of their yearly wages before UncleAuntieSam will step in and start helping out. If you're making 30k a year, that's $2,100. Hey Kids, think you could find a policy for less than that?

I was going to extract a paragraph from this one page missive, but could not decide which one.

Please read the page. This is written by someone with a years long track record of knowing what he is talking about. He, and 'they' on this website (See "good info yo" in the right sidebar) have consistently been way ahead of the curve. They were talking about today's economic situation that became visible on October 12, 2007 (The market hit a high on Oct 11) very clearly in 2005.

Whether you agree or not, seeing all sides never did anyone any harm, and I personally think this concept has tremendous merit and is playing out before our eyes.

They are sucking the blood out of America's finest - military and citizen alike, and they have no empathy for their victims. None. If you're 62, you will likely have to get by on pain pills.

Driving home, I heard about a person who could get advanced treatment for cancer that shows promise of 1.) helping the person who has the problem and 2.) could affect many lives in a positive way in the future.

Since Oregon offers a state-run health care plan, those who are terminally ill have been told that their treatments have been denied, but that they would be covered for assisted suicide...

Health Care Email That's Going Around Looks Like the Real Deal to Me

Ok, So in the following, I read the bill pages and commented at the beginning of the line where I thought the item was significant enough to descend into the vampire cave. Items not commented on, I considered as either redundant or as a 'who cares'. ie.. You've already killed me, so who cares if you're going to restrict my health care further. There is a link at the end where you can peruse yourself. I'd be interested in any alternate translations.

And in the interest of that, Hey, Hey HEY! Let's realize that the CURRENT Health Plan we are on states in Simple Terms what the benefits and liabilities are. For example, your health plan states that your co pay at the doctor is probably from 10 to 25 bucks. Your copay at the pharmacy is either 10 or 30 depending on whether you get the good stuff or not. You pay 200 at the ER. You have a yearly deductible of from probably 1000 to 5000, which after you've met that, 100% of your costs are covered and until then 80% are covered. SIMPLE!

This thing reads like your worst cell phone agreement plan from Transylvania. In fact, one of the IDIOT congressmen (who is/was a lawyer) said he had no intention of reading the bill because "It would take two days and require two lawyers to understand it" And You Want That In Your Life !!!!??????

Today's example of a Bold Faced Lie Regards the Health Care Bill

Obama stood in front of the camera recently and told the country, "You can keep you private health insurance option if you wish for as long as you want". BS.

I work for a company that has from 0 to 500 employees. The company kicks in easily more than 8% of wages on average to pay 'their chosen share' of health insurance costs for the plans offered to employees.

Therefore, when the government enacts this bill, and tells companies they must provide private health insurance option coverage for their employees or pay a $750 per year per person, or 8% of wages penalty (Which ever is greater), my company will jump up and down for joy, cancel the private insurance plans, tell us all to go to the government plan and happily pay UncleAuntie Sam their 8%. Happily.

It is that simple. The private insurance options will go the way of the Dodo in about a year.

This is all about the federal government directing all those health insurance premium dollars directly through Washington DC. Period. Can you Imagine how much money that is ? There is no way the new Communist party is going to leave that money on the table. No way. People better fight like their lives are at stake because they are.

Translation for the reading averse... Replace your HOSTS file with one that blocks all known malicious websites plus advert sites. In addition, be able to add sites like cars.gov to the list.

Then read this small section - How to Edit Your HOSTS File

Something not mentioned here that I had to do in order to edit the HOSTS file was: Right Click and select Properties and Uncheck Read Only.

I have updated my hosts file, and if I type cars.gov into my browser, it comes back and say 'Exsqueeze me? Baking Your Powder?? Nolo Comprendes Senor.." Which is cool.

Ok, I gotta Say Something

The Department of Defense released 146 more photos from the controversial Air Force One flyover that caused thousands of New Yorkers to panic in April.

Why would anyone panic, let alone thousands of them, at the sight of a 747 flying low over New York City.

I might be concerned that the thing might be piloted into some building, but if I'm on the street or even in a building and can see the aircraft, I'm not going to 'panic'. It's absurd.

The hinge pin of the story is that it was flying low.

- If it's flying low, you can surely see it is Air Force One. The fact that a fighter jet would be there should seem natural. And if you can't recognize Air Force One, you should be living in some other country.
- The aircraft that hit the towers were flying at 500 mph. This thing was going 200 at best.
- I would have laughed at anyone I saw acting 'panicked'.

I resist the idea that anyone should have 'informed the public' that Air Force One was going to be flying around for photo ops. If you're going to beat on Obama, great; he deserves it, but this nonsense will make you about as credible as 'panicked' Liberals during the Bush years.
