Time For a Refresher

Especially with half of the news articles declaring that since CO2 levels are at All Time Highs and ice levels are at All Time Highs, and the globe has been cooling for 15 years now - and the other half declaring that climate change Armageddon is right around the corner, it is time for an entertaining refresher.

Now I don't subscribe to George's macro view of Human Life, but as far as the environmental whack jobs go? Right On !

Couple well deserved and placed F bombs, nothing to worry about though.

John McCain recently Criticized Putin in a Russian Paper. Tsk Tsk Tsk

To Wit:

Writing of Mr. Putin and his associates, Mr. McCain said, “They don’t respect your dignity or accept your authority over them. They punish dissent and imprison opponents. They rig your elections. They control your media. They harass, threaten, and banish organizations that defend your right to self-governance. To perpetuate their power they foster rampant corruption in your courts and your economy and terrorize and even assassinate journalists who try to expose their corruption. They write laws to codify bigotry against people whose sexual orientation they condemn. They throw the members of a punk rock band in jail for the crime of being provocative and vulgar and for having the audacity to protest President Putin’s rule.”

Hey John,  that's different from the USA How?

Today's Culture - Tomorrow's Leaders

Today's culture seems to consist of ESPN, sex, drinking, twerking, no-talent pop 'artists', every kid gets a prize, government is the answer, obama is awesome, and in fact Everything is 'awesome'. Isn't that awesome? It's awesome.

There are some similarities but the trust in government, the twerking, the no talents and 'everything is awesome' are stand-outs. In short there is little substance.  These are the people who are going to be leading tomorrow.  I can't see how it turns out well.

I never knew anyone when I was in my 20's or 30's who trusted government, or who admired women who are like many of the sluts these days.  The music makers were almost all excellent musicians and many were good or great songwriters.

Kids expelled from school because they were seen playing with an airsoft gun in their own yard.  Kids mass conditioned to believe guns are nothing but evil.  Who is going to join the military 20 years from now?  How will the ones who do join be regarded by the masses?

This is the demoralization Comrade Brezmanov speaks of.  It's the communist agenda at work since LBJ in modern times and it Is taking over.  It attacks everything America.
Express Elevator.  We're on it.

The Music/Lyrics That Men Versus Women Create

So, I just happened to have this thought about men and women, relating to music in particular..  You’ve probably had it already.

But it occurs to me that men have been writing songs describing the lengths they are willing to go to just to get a smile from the woman they are currently obsessing about, often to the point of practically begging.  Additionally, they’ve written songs about women they already have connected with, and how fantastic they are and how the Earth would explode if they ever lost them.  Some serious pedestal mounting dialogue.  Thousands upon thousands of songs.

Which is fine by me.

But then I can’t think of any women or girl bands who have written songs about how desperate they are, or how happy they would be if (enter guys name here) would get into a relationship with them.  I think of songs like “What Girls Want” and that type of stuff.  Not that I think girls should ever beg before they’re married anyway.. But it just kinds of jumps out at me as sort of a statement about male / female relationships..

A woman I brought this up with recently mentioned the song back in the late 60’s where the woman sang “Marry Me Bill”.  Ok, but she didn’t really offer up anything like you’d find in songs written by guys, and one could argue she was even being demanding “Marry Me Bill !!”

Well, my point here is None. Just thought I’d toss it out.

In disclosure, I have nothing but respect for women.  Child bearing, house and home holding togethering, relationship monitoring, sirens that they are and work at so hard, while guys are pretty much Go to working, secretary slapping(no not me), get home looking for beer, food and sex dogs !

Talk amongst yourselves...

Scientists Aren't All Bad

Sometimes they come up with ideas to filter light to determine what elements make up the material that the light is being reflected off of or traveling through -  Red/Orange=Sulfur, Blue=Oxygen, Green=Helium, and so on.

Then they design machines such as Hubble, or even ground based telescope arrays to take magnificent pictures (and process them) of those things in space that provoke thought and inspiration.

The Butterfly Nebula.

Worth the tax money.

American Exceptionalism Questioned by Vladamir Putin

So, Vladamir Putin says America is not exceptional.

I'm not going to write a novel here, not needed.

Hey Vlad, Consider:

  • The exceptional value of a country is measured by the people scrambling to get in versus the people trying to get out. So, name me a country where people are scrambling to get in beside America.  It sure as hell  isn't Russia by a long shot, but take your time and pick ANY One other. Que the Jeopardy music
  • Name the country where almost all of today's in demand technology products and applications come from.  Yes, America.  Name which country built the SR71 Blackbird that overflew every country on the planet and never received any damage from everything you boys could come up with to throw at it. Yes! America.   Name the country that out-produced every other country in WWII and which country, regardless of Russia's help or not, would have won WWII. That's right - America.
  • Name the country that won the cold war against Russia that Evil Empire. Right again Vlad - America.
You may want to reconsider your statement.

I will however cut you a little slack with the America of the last 10 or 20 years.  Communist influence is putting a strain on American Exceptionalism.  Hell, America voted in an imbecile from Kenya twice to the white house. (I'll capitalize that once we get an American back in there)

So you see Vlad, American Exceptionalism is only being tarnished by Russian/Communist influence.  What does that say about your own country?
Btw - Would you share your dossier on barack obama with us?  It's got to be a hoot !

Then the kicker, This is an excerpt from a CNN article, that looks like it has some balance in it (I didn't read the whole thing), where right at the top is this gem:

(CNN) -- In the opening scene of the new Aaron Sorkin show, "The Newsroom," a news anchor goes on a tirade when asked why "America is the greatest country in the world."

"It's not the greatest country in the world," he fumes. "We're seventh in literacy, 27th in math, 22nd in science, 49th in life expectancy, 178th in infant mortality, third in median household income, No. 4 in labor force, and No. 4 in exports. ... So when you ask what makes us the greatest country in the world, I don't know what the f*** you're talking about."

This is rich, the libtards create these problems, then scream and botch about them. One might think that's the strategy, but for most libtards, I believe they have no idea they've created these problems themselves.  It's infuriating isn't it?

Let's Break it Down!
  1. Literacy, math, science - jimmy carter the democrat communist created the federal department of education.  After 40 years we have kids graduating from high school that can't read or write, or make change for a buck at McDonald's without a computer.
  2. Life Expectancy?  Frankly I don't believe this one.  Name 48 more countries with a higher life expectancy please. I'm waiting.
  3. Infant Mortality?  I'd say we're talking about infants born in LBJ's great society environment.White and black. Is abortion included here?
  4. # 4 in labor force, # 4 in exports.  Bill Clinton Opened the Flood Gates from China and shipped all the manufacturing jobs to China and other counties. Yet the struggling libtards Love the bastard.  Go Figure!

All the result of communist influences implemented by communist democrat progressives.

When will we purge this cancer of communist progressive degredation ?

Will it take a General Jack Ripper !?

Ok, Now something to calm you back down again.

The Expanding Crab Nebula

Click the image to go to the APOD site where you can read a description and click the picture a couple more times to get the high resolution version where you can zoom around and explore.

Here's a video showing the expansion form 1999 to 2012.  What will it look like in another 13 years?  Should we call it Crab Change and implore the scientists to somehow tax us back to the stone age to find a way to keep it from expanding? :)

Just Too Damn Good Not to Put a Post Out

This was written by a Naval Aviator, TOPGUN, Commander of TOPGUN and now passed on(in the process of teaching new FA-18 TOPGUNS).

The story is life aboard an Aircraft Carrier in combat situation - Iraq.  Each chapter is about a page, and most link to the next chapter but for one or two you may have to come back to this main page to move to the next chapter.

RYTHMS

The blog is still there as well, Neptunus Lex, link on my right sidebar, and is a treasure chest in itself.  Man, I sure miss this guy, excellence personified.
Certainly a reminder of what excellence in America can be and still is in some corners.

As stated in one of his recent posts about being involved with a post training mission debriefing of today's naval aviators, excellence can be so refreshing. Yes.

Enjoy. Damn.
