WWRD !

.
.

What Would Reagan Do. Something we should think about at all major events.

I don't know for certain what Ronald Reagan would have done about Libya in the last week or two, but I can honestly believe the Last Week or Two Wouldn't Have Even Freakin Happened with Ronald Reagan in the White House !

You sure as hell wouldn't have seen that asshole kadaffi rambling on through his PA system on top of his compound about how he was going to open his armory to supporters to crush the revolution.

This wouldn't have even went down this way. kadaffi wouldn't be on the roof with a microphone. But by some absurd chance it did and he was, American fighters would have taken out kadaffi, his compound and a big chunk of his supporters who were in and around the compound.

This is our alternate time line. Our alternate reality that comes about with a feckless weak ass imbecile in the White House. I KNEW I was in some alternate freakin reality.

It should have never happened. But, George Bush, while righteously recognizing the war that was declared on us by the jihadis circa 19 freakin 70, did Jack domestically, outside of creating two monsters - DHS and Medicare Drug. Then the repubblekins put up John, "reach across the aisle and hug the freakin commies" McLame, and here we are...

I don't know what any of us can do individually, but as a group, we have to reject any more lame ass bullshit coming our way. Like Mitt "Freakin Massachewsits Government Health Care" Romney or any of the other liberals calling themselves repubblekins coming out of Iowa as a freakin candidate.

This is the last chance saloon folks. You and I need a Badass like Allen West.

Obama Condemns Libya !

.

It's in the news.

Well, Hell I condemn Libya Too !

"President Obama broke four days of silence on Wednesday to “strongly condemn” the Libyan government's violent crackdown on protesters and said his administration was considering a range of responses to the ..."

OOoooh, 4 days of silence as Libyan military murdered many citizens.

4 days of silence ? Is this the new Acceptable for the Leader of the Free World ?

WTF??? People, if you can't get your head out, there are medical people out there who can help you.

And where's my Peace Prize ?!?!? I haven't done Shit Either !

Wait! it gets better! Or worse depending on your Viewpoint!

Obama is responding by Sending the Hilrod to Geneva !

What the FUCK has happened to this planet !!

Hillary Clinton, Communist Loving Libtard

As Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave a speech at George Washington University yesterday condemning governments that arrest protestors and do not allow free expression - and lauding freedom of speech on the Internet - 71-year-old military veteran Ray McGovern was grabbed from the audience in plain view of her by police and an unidentified official in plain clothes and hustled out of the building and, according to McGovern and his supporters, was “brutalized and left bleeding in jail.”

What McGovern did was simply remain standing silently in the audience and turned his back on her as Secretary Clinton began her speech.
That was it.
McGovern, a veteran Army officer who also worked as a C.I.A. analyst for 27 years, was wearing Veterans for Peace t-shirt.
Blind-sided by security officers who pounced upon him, McGovern remarked, as he was hauled out the door, "So this is America?"
According to Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, attorney with the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund, “For this peaceful expression of dissent, he ended up bruised, bloodied, arrested, and jailed. Secretary Clinton never paused, continuing her speech lecturing other countries about the need to allow freedom of expression and dissent, while Mr. McGovern was hauled out in front of her.”
McGovern was later found to have his arm covered with bruises. The metal handcuffs were fastened so tightly that his wrists were cut and some blood flowed from the cuts.
After being held by local police, McGovern was told he was being charged with disorderly conduct.

Read All About It and Watch it Partially on Video

It pains me to write this.  Not just because a fine American was brutalized by clinton’s thugs, but because it is almost painful to think abut this evil beast, let alone write about her.  May this be the last time she is uttered on this blog.  While she is lecturing the world on allowing citizens free speech she has someone brutalized who isn’t even talking. She didn’t order it you say?  If she was an American, she would have protested about an individual being hauled away for simply standing with his back to her.  What arrogance.

If you don’t agree she is evil, you simply don’t know as much or any of what I know about her.  Sociopath communist extraordinaire.

I pray the bitch has given up on the White House.

Computer Based Learning Continued

To add a little meat to this idea:

  • Students haul mountains of textbooks
    • they are expensive
    • they become outdated rather quickly
    • they consume paper and other resources un-necessarily
    • they’re heavy.  Students haul this junk around in backpacks which ultimately detracts from the learning experience.
  • Teachers are tasked with preparing for the next lesson plan and grading students and have a mandate to elevate average test scores by giving attention to the dolts rather than those who are more gifted and could otherwise excel.
    • this has been going on a long time. I usually lunch with a couple who were teachers for a few decades and who testify that this is the way it’s been for a long time – 30-40 years just by their experience.
    • they are tasked with preparing for the lessons
    • they must distribute, manage and grade tests
    • they must get those test scores into a database
    • they often deal with idiot parents who think their child should get straight A’s
    • they often grade tests while they should be teaching
    • as mentioned, they ignore the intelligent students and spend their time with the dolts in order to get their school averages up to satisfy morons in DC
    • they are not all of an exceptional skill level.  In fact, many are dolts themselves and some are down right certifiable.  Again, this statement comes from teachers who are friends of mine and more than just the two mentioned above.

Contrast the above with computer based learning.

  • Each student is assigned an iPad that remains on school property.  Students log onto the internet to take their lessons and tests and can proceed at the level/speed in which they are capable.
    • scratch textbooks, obsolescence, and all the physical nonsense associated with hard materials.  Note that the business world abandoned this paradigm decades ago!  The school environment is long overdue to get in step with today’s technology.
    • scratch teachers creating lesson plans
    • scratch teachers grading tests
    • scratch uploading those scores to a database
    • scratch parents demanding their child get straight A’s (The computer is impartial and facts are facts)
    • as suggested above, personalities are removed from the learning environment to a large degree
    • they and their parents can log into the system on their home computers and continue or catch up on lessons and parents who care can go over their child’s tests and details with them at home.

The money saving potential is huge.  The learning potential is huge. Exceptional students no longer have to be chained to the lowest common denominators of the class.

As Arby commented in the last post, there are some subjects that this would work well for and some not so much. I agree.  Subjects like math and science are perfect and other subjects like history would benefit from group discussion and teacher led conceptualizing.

This paradigm shift is Long overdue in coming.  It’s like schools are stuck in an environment that business worked in pre-computer.  Hand typing General Ledgers, doing inventory management off of scraps of paper littered through the physical inventory, etc.

Additionally, school administrations and teachers unions are completely out of hand.  One might say Insanely out of hand.

Teacher union members, it seems to some degree, are even more rabid than UAW members.  Yes, of course there are many fine sane teachers, but damn, there are a bunch of them who are absolutely postal over this recession/depression we are in and how it is going to affect them.  They demand to remain in a good ship lollipop world where they don’t have to contribute to their Generous health care plans and pensions AND continue to get raises every year.  That’s insane.

The union Head actually sent an email to all the teachers in her local in New Jersey asking them to pray for Chris Christie’s death (Chris Christie is the governor of New Jersey of course)

I’ve been listening to teachers calling into radio talk shows that have not the slightest problem demanding that we the taxpayer in the private sector, who have not had raises in 5 years or more, decreases in benefits, and have been feeling the effects of the recession/depression in our personal lives, should somehow be made exempt from same by having US pay more taxes to keep them in the lap of luxury that was created by economic boom bubbles that simply don’t exist anymore.  That’s insane.

I’ve got news for those people.  I’ll fight to my last breath to make sure that doesn’t happen as will ever other private sector taxpayer I know.  Additionally, the Money Isn’t Available.  Even if we wanted to, the Money Isn’t Available.

As a result, you have states like New Jersey and Wisconsin (and this is just the start) who are now forced to make you people live on the same planet as the rest of us by forcing you to either contribute to your pension pans and health plans or be fired.  Get used to the idea.  Cause things are only going to get worse over the next couple years.  This year, we’ve got massive food price inflation and we’ll probably have 4 dollar gas, if not 5 and probably will have 5 dollar gas in 2012 because of all you libtards who think the world can run on Unicorn Shit. It can’t.  And the price of gas will affect the price of everything else because it takes gas and diesel fuel to get it all those products to within a few blocks of where you live.

If you think We are going to pay to keep you on some economic pedestal, you are out of your minds.  And things are going to get worse before they get better.  I honestly think the pain is just starting. Sorry.

You better see the writing on the wall.  The gravy train is over and you should be thankful you had it so good for so long and should have saved for this rainy day.

I think the governor of Wisconsin should warn the teachers who are camped out at the capitol that they are state employees and they have X amount of time (short) to return to work or be fired and replaced.  Just like Reagan did with the Air Traffic Controllers.  They and the Democrat legislature of Wisconsin are all acting like a bunch of spoiled babies.

I Absolutely Love This Idea !

.
.

Computer-based Classrooms.

The computer does the teaching and grading. The teacher becomes a facilitator and classroom monitor. Period. Learning and grading become totally void of any personality.

What's more, students who excel can just excel the hell out of themselves and move along faster than everyone else.  The computer program will take them wherever they are capable of going.

We are in the stone age when it comes to education.

And computers don't need excessive salaries, pensions and unions.

I really do love the idea.  It's time has come. It solves so many problems. Yes it will create some too, but you can program a computer, you can't program a teacher.

I had seen another story in the news that directly proposed this but can't find it now, so this one will have to do.

I’ll be Watching For This One !

I followed the Thrust SSC back in the late 90’s break the speed of sound on the ground.  It was also piloted by Andy Bean, the RAF pilot that you see in the next video.

Here is the Thrust SSC doing its thing.

Now this. 1,000 mph attempt on the ground.

It should be very cool.  Here’s an article with more info.

No doubt the progress and all aspects will be available in the net.  I’ll follow it and post some links when I see them.

Egypt and Fears of the Muslim Brotherhood Gaining Power

Now that I’ve digested a lot of this news, I have the opinion that it is insanity to accept a situation where a brutal dictator is supported for the sole purpose of holding back the ‘Islamic onslaught’.

It was done with Saddam Hussein in Iraq. I see it as counter-productive and that which actually supports evil more than simply letting, in this case, the Muslim brotherhood to come to power.

So, I’m saying the dictators must go first, then we can deal with the Islamics 2nd.  We’re going to have to deal with them anyway.  Personally, I’d rather have a direct confrontation opposed to the drip drip drip of creeping Sharia rotting your country away like they are doing in England and France and some places like Detroit in America.

Add the concept of ‘A time of our choosing.  Not theirs’.

I see it as similar to the situation with Russia.  When Ronald Reagan confronted them directly, while the liberals all sat around wringing their hands worried about what might happen, happily spending trillions on the arms race for eternity, President Reagan said Enough!

Well, let’s say Enough with Islam.  Go ahead and build your bombs Iran.  Grab all the weapons in Egypt and point them at Israel.  Let’s confront and see who wins. Though Israel may want to wait about 2 years, but in the final analysis, they knew what they were getting into in 1948 when they moved into the middle of an Islamic nest.  That they might have to defend themselves one day.

The Islamics are never going to stop.  It’s their ‘religion’.  They only get stronger as time goes on and, in our case, the Democrat communists weaken us further with no rolling back by the Repubs when they are intermittently in power.   Peace is not an option for those barbarians.

And Hey, Hey, HEY !

Wake me up when some candidate and political party comes along pledging to Cancel these liberal programs and bureaucracies that are destroying this country.  That would be pretty much any federal agency or program outside of those dealing with national defense.

Not a one has laid a finger on any of them since LBJ started destroying the country in the early 1960’s by stealing the social security money and creating the welfare system.  At this point I have no doubt that LBJ was directed by the communists and that JFK was assassinated by the communists.

You want to talk to me about balancing the budget or reducing spending or rebuilding the military or any number of other things that doesn’t fit into the concept of the first paragraph, then …. yawn………… and BFD.

Because the Dems Will get into power again.  That’s assuming they are actually kicked out in 2012.

And the Dems will simply start up where they left off.  Creeping Communism.  They have all the time in the world.  They know their agenda hasn’t been damaged since the early 60’s, it’s only been delayed on occasion when the Republicans have been in majority (at best).  And like the islamic vermin, that doesn’t bother them.  If they succeed 20 years from now or 80 years from now or 150 years from now, they don’t care, as long as they succeed.

We need to start canceling some stuff.  If you cancel someone’s unemployment checks, they’ll find a way.

I’m not suggesting cold turkey.  I’m talking about turning the wheel on this 14 trillion ton freighter so that maybe 10 or 20 years from now, it’s pointed in the opposite direction -  the right direction.  It’s current course is an express elevator to hell.
