  1. Who knew that the Death Valley becomes an ice rink?
I find that very difficult to believe.

    1. I recall two places where I froze my butt off ... Korea in January/February, and in the desert at night. Don't believe anything the Eagles tell you ... :-)

    2. Ed, as Mustang relates below the desert can get very cold at night. In the Phoenix area there were many days of 70 with the sun out and 28 at night. Well, you didn't want to be without your fluffy tarantula buddies to keep you warm when camping.

  2. Interesting Ed. The sliding stones tell no lies though.

    1. In 1849, 13 prospectors perished in the northern Mohave Desert, hence the name Death Valley. It doesn't seem fair to me. Someone ought to sue. I saw an advert recently for the Death Valley National Park. Who in their right mind goes to a place called Death Valley for vacation? Anyway, given the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in NYC, shouldn't we begin calling NYC Death Valley? Seems somehow appropriate.

    2. @Z, I'm afraid this is above my pay grade. I report, you decide.

@MustangPerfectly Appropriate. We must tag these hell hole with names that will stick to them like glue for decade upon decade. I want the mayor of NYC in 2025 worried about how he's going to shake the moniker of Death Valley from his illicit town of crime and stupidity.

  4. It's like one of those lateral thinking puzzles we like to tell around the campfire. I wonder how high that big monolith will go in the upcoming NHL draft. My Wings could use that rugged defenseman.

    1. Lateral thinking puzzles? Whatever happened to ghost stories? Crumbs, I'm getting old.

    2. Mr Blade, when do we get the lingerie bowl in hockey like they have in football? Good luck with your Wings btw.

  5. I didn't know. I wasn't there. I didn't see a thing. No one can prove I did it. I have witnesses that will attest to my version of the story. Personally, I think it's a progressive trick. Time for everyone to lawyer up.

    1. AOC Tells a different story Mustang. fyi. Also, where can I find a 'good' lawyer?

    2. That's the thing, Kid ... there are no "good" lawyers. There are are only two types of lawyers: pre-convicted and post-convicted.
Within these categories, you'll find such people as Hillary, Billary, Chuck, Kirsten, Dick, and Little Mikie Avenatti. My advice is cop a plea, call me and your blog friends as character witnesses, and I guarantee that you'll get off with less than 20 years.

About AOC ... why on earth would you believe anything she has to say?

    3. I didn't say I believed her Mustang. Actually, from what I hear, bribing the judge is the best course of action.

But if you need a character witness you can count on me. You must pay expenses though as I'm destitute as you know.
