Crab Nebula

You wouldn't want to be married to it.  Otherwise, it is kinda pretty.

Heck yea. Click the picture and click again and again like a democrat trying to win an election.

  1. That is frame worthy. Just don't stare at the spinning neutron star in the center for too long or you might start babbling nonsensically like nancy pelosi.

    1. Mr Blade, I tested out your theory and I don't think anything happened. I'm still upset President Bush is still in office and I feel democrats are doing a wonderful job losing elections because They Aren't losing by a lot. That's a Good Thing.

  2. I don't think you can blame the Crab Nebula for her idiocy. Her genes were tainted, and the booze hasn't helped.

    1. Mustang, Quite True. Even sober these entities are challenged with their bi-polar nature, not even mentioning the spinning neutron star at the center of their cortex. It's a good thing she is light years away.

  3. What a beautiful thing it is!

Looks like a wild orchid blooming against the night sky.

    1. FT, Kind of looks like a deep sea organism yet to be discovered. But your description works well too.

    2. Yeah! It could just as easily be a kind of jellyfish that lights up from inside –– like fireflies do on land in summer.

When was the last time you saw fireflies, Kid? I haven't had the pleasure since I was a young boy –– seven-hundred years ago.

I wonder if fireflies haven't gone extinct?

Do you know? I hope not.

But there's no end of wonders left for us to contemplate, as you prove wuth these great posts from Outer Space.

    3. Thanks FT. Actually we have fireflies here in Cincinnati. We saw them early too back in June though most will be July I believe.

    4. That's Good News, Kid. I used to go out in the back yard, and capture two or three in a Mason jar. My dad had punched holes in the lid so they could breathe. I'd keep that jar by my bedside and watch the fireflies light up off and on till I feel asleep. Maybe I was mean to the fles, but it still makes a nice memory of childhood. Now, I'd be content just to watch them from the porch, but we dn't seem to have them where I live.

I still wonder what they did with themselves during the day?

    5. I think we all did that FT. We use to catch and release honey an bumble bees too.

They out during the day. I've saved a few during the day when they fly into the pool for example. They probably stay in the shade is my guess.

  5. It made me laugh just to read the words "crab nebula." My husband calls me "Miss Nebula" when I'm in a bad mood.
