War. The Congressional Medal of Honor. A Man That Received Three.

I had no idea someone received three of them.

Worth your 11 minutes.

This is what war and fighting and bravery is all about as near as I can tell, having not served myself.

UPDATE:  He was nominated three times but received one.
Thanks Ed.

  1. What a brave man/warrior. His reward? Being spit on by lazy arrogant stupid filthy hippies. Oh my, how I hated the way some of the Viet vets were treated. But there were plenty of us that appreciated his service.

  2. Adrienne, I've thought about this a lot since then because I would have been there had it not been for a motorcycle accident/severe broken leg when I was 16 that caused me to be classified 4F for the draft meaning that women and children would have been drafted before me (I would not have allowed THAT of course - Still it kept me out of Vietnam)
In the end, whatever anyone thinks about any war such as why did we do this - should we do this, my conclusion is that Americans have been sent to war. The only motivation to join is is that I will support and defend my fellow Americans in harms way and who cares about the politicians or the other myriad of other forces that pit man against man. Political bullshit, weapons manufacturers, oil tycoons, who cares - I will support my neighbor or fellow American in this conflict.

Best I can express it at the moment.

The tards that spitted on Vets because of a small number of guys at Mai Lai ? Not worth the brain power for me.

  3. "My father and all of my uncles died in service in the second World War...so I felt I shared this honor with them..I held it very dear to my heart." What an AMAZING MAN. Thanks, Bob....I got emotional (not that that's unusual, but..!) ...Thank you, Robert Howard, America loves you.

    1. Z, Incredible men just doing what they felt had to be done. None of these guys were looking for awards.

  4. Wikipedia "Before his death he was the most decorated living Medal of Honor recipient.[3]"
He died at the age of 70, in 2009, of pancreatic cancer. RIP, HERO.

  5. I could almost hear President Nixon whispering in his ear while while awarding him the Medal of Honor. A grateful nation, indeed.

    1. DaBlade, any sane person had to be humbled by actions like this from others.

  6. When Biden paws over strange women, and strokes their girl children, sniffs their hair he is indulging in a very strange, and UNACCEPTABLE behavior. He is making a disgusting display of himself. And these Democrats talk about Trump? How HYPOCRITICAL!

    1. Liz, then again, the democrat voters seem to like them evil and ugly. It's what they vote for. The current crop is trying to outdo the others on evil imo.
