The best we could hope for would be a realization that the conflict between good and Evil exists WITHIN each of us as individuals, and must be resoolved INtErNALLY. Therefore ALL we can do –– and all we SHOULD do –– is work, watch and pray to eliminate or at east stifle and frustrate whatever instincts and propensties we might have to do evil in OURSELVES.
All attempts to control or eliminate Bad Stuff collectively by authoritarian edicts and the threat of punishment (I.e. Marxism, Fascism, Progressivism, Aggressive Atheism, etc.) are doomed to fail.
We must "Come to Jesus" voluntarily and wholeheartedly.
There really is no OTHER way we could dare hope to achieve Salvation, and even then, it's incumbent on us to realize and acknowledge that it is only by God's GRACE that we have any chance to be Saved at all.
That remains to be seen.
ReplyDeleteBut I read the end of the Book.
Good wins.
