Ed, Oh Yea. Necessity is the Mother of Invention and so is prosperity that allows people to create imo. Pretty much every electric guitar player has paid tribute to Les Paul other than those who simply don't know which have to be few.
Ok Voice of Reason, you must have a serious eyesight problem. None of these puks you talk about live anywhere near this blog.
We don't talk about the pukes here either. I'll thank you to take your hate elsewhere, there are plenty of other places for it all over the internet. We are Conservative, Lightness, and all things good here. Now off you go.
Z, Not only did Les Paul invent the electric guitar, he invented one of the best electric guitars. The 1959 Les Paul is still popular today. The Les Paul Custom was and is very popular.
Here is a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3iTib5jvjU' >girly girl playing one with some obvious backing musicians</a>. She does well. Not your kinda tune but she can play.
American Exceptionalism!

DeleteWell I didn't know all of this, but I had heard of this Lesley fellow, since I've always enjoyed listening to you hippies go on and on about him. I really dig his invention though. But just when I thought that all the really cool and revolutionary things that changed the world had already been invented...
ReplyDeleteDaBlade, thanks for the tip. I don't do dessert much though. I prefer michele obama lunches.
DeleteI always enjoyed listening to Les Paul and Mary Ford.

What a tragedy her death was; I imagine it must have been hard on him. Sad.
Sam, Thanks I enjoyed it. That was hot stuff for the 1950's - the guitar and Mary.
DeleteI didn't realize and just looked it up. Mary died at 53. Man, that is painfully early. Yes Very sad.
Les Paul is one of my favorites. Thanks for posting this, Kid. Fascinating information.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed Mustang. Imagine, no scientists, no laboratories, just a 4X4 with some word forming tools, 6 telephones broken down to make a pickup for 6 strings and wham bam let me loose on the world ma'am. Then we have stuff like this playing on the box with kids 10 years old like me listening in wonder.
