    1. Me too Admiral. I think we'll get to visit all these places.

  3. No thanks, Kid. I would prefer Harry Caray's for some sphagetti and meatballs, rather than meet in the icy cold absolute vacuum of deep space, where you would in seconds end up like the guy in the 1981 flick 'Outland', whose space suit sprang a leak. Loved that movie, with Sean Connery, and Peter Boyle played his best bad guy role ever.

    1. Fredd, Peter Boyle played a pretty good bad guy there.

I have no doubt there are some warm places there too. And that when we're there the temp won't matter.

  4. The CIO that hired me as a consultant five years ago had a "visit" to the "other side". His tale left me with goosebumps. I had always heard of the life after death experience, but I had never known one until then.

I keep meaning to write about it and I had several drafts, but I need to dedicate a few hours to do it justice.

It reminds me of Mercy Me's song, "I Can Only Imagine".

    1. Rita, One of the great mysteries of life... But I will say this.

When my younger sister died, she left two of her children. Ladies, and one of those young ladies had two young boys herself. One of them -Cameron- was 'Grandma's Favorite' even though she loved them both.

At the funeral, when we were all leaving the cemetery after the grave site service, Cameron looked up in the sky and said "OK bye, I love you too".

I don't know any other way to explain it.

  5. Ah Kid, you're gonna make me get tears in my eyes. My father passed away at home 20 years ago while mom and all of the kids took turns taking care of him in his last days. The things he would say and see would turn any doubters into believers. I've had some militant atheist tell me it was halucinations. Never heard of halucinations that only involved people who had already died. While it was the absolutely the worst week I ever spent with my family it was also the best and most beautiful week spent with my family.

No one understands that unless they've been through it.

I'd write about that too, but my mom reads my blog and I don't want to bring up memories of my dad passing away.
