  1. If the U.S. becomes a banana republic, does that mean we can tear down the monuments erected to both Bill and Hillary when there is a coup; and before I forget those statues raised to honor the man who got here one step ahead of a Kenyan Lion, or on a run-a-way surfboard from Hawaii. On the other hand should Hillary win, that will be a moot point---she will have them removed from public view long before the revolutionary coup leaders march triumphantly down Pennsylvania Ave. I could get carried away here, so I leave the field to the next deplorable.

    Is that crazy, or what?

    We've become wussified.

    Grow up, wimps.

BTW, a homeschool family just withdrew their son from my classes. Why? I'm not "gentle." Hells bells! The boy is a 7th grader. And I didn't begin to bare my fangs. All I insisted upon was that he address me with "Yes," not his sassy "Yeah.: Still, he got "hurt." Gimme a break!

    1. Well, you big meanie! Most 7th grade boys need to be smacked upside the head daily - several times. A really obnoxious age. Hubby taught 7th grade while I was teaching 4th grade at a private boy's school. What an eyeopener. Hubby had to run his class like a boot camp.

Yep. And these parents are going to make matters worse.

    3. You have to be kidding, AOW...the HELICOPTER PARENT at its best, huh. Ruining the kid...You know the phrase I coined a few years ago; "You must never spoil your child because you can NEVER make it up to him."

As I FREQUENTLY say "America needs all its children taught and disciplined by AOW". I FIRMLY believe that.
And, since I've been sub'ing so much lately, I'd add it needs ME as its SUBSTITUTE :-)

    4. AOW, Z, Good to know you are out there. I fear it won't be enough though. Well, some kids will thank you later.

    5. I teach very small classes -- very few numbers in comparison to the hordes out there being ruined.

Some of those students whom I teach are "turned" at the university level. Just today, I had a run in with one of those "turned" ones on my Facebook page. Yes, I slapped her a bit, then along came former bloggers who flattened her. Oh, well. She's pushing 30 years of age and should expect her worldview to be challenged by somebody, don't you think.

I must admit that some of those students whom I taught decades ago in a private school are crawling out of the woodwork these past few months to help me with my health troubles. All guys! Really.

Nothing quite like having your bandage changed by a 40-year-old guy who was my student some 30 years ago. Changing my bandage involves plumber's butt. Sheesh.

Let's hope that the parents are rich enough so that he can be an heir.

    7. AOW, It is very heart warming to hear you have these guys finding you and wanting to help you out. Do they find you via facebook? Well, all I can say is by the time I was 40, butts (mine or theirs) were no big deal. If it's a medical thing then I suspect any of these guys you are talking about have their minds in a medical environment while they're taking care of you. I certainly would, though I understand your feelings in the matter.

A former retired male neighbor had a colonoscopy and got nicked in the process. By the time he got serious medical help, they had to take a good fist sized chunk of his butt off because of the infection. He was in bed on his stomach for a month or more while a nurse came to help him do his constitutional and clean him up afterward. Good God.

I broke my leg at 16 pretty good and was in hospital over a month. Beautiful young nurses would come in to give me tush a shot of morphine the whole time. 250 or so in all. Very embarrassing at first, but after that anyone that wanted to see any part of me was welcome.

Today a homeschool mom did the dressing change. A complicated process and dangerous because the adhesive sticks to the tube going into my back. Really, a visiting nurse should be doing this dressing change!

  4. AOW- Yes really, quite the contrast eh?. So, let their son grow up to be an ignorant butthead. The battle lines are drawn and we don't have time for this BS. There is only one way out - secession.

  5. The only state that can make it on its own after secession is Texas. California? Hardly. Ohio? No way. Who would Ohioans elect as president of newly independent nation of Ohio? The Obamaphone lady in Cleveland. Or Dennis Kucinich. Either way, Ohio would be screwed.

    1. Fredd, Agree your point regarding Tejas. My vision would make the northern states the Libtard states of America, and the Southern states the Re-energized and re-constituted states of America. Suffice it to say that the new America would not have programs like welfare and WIC which would serve to promptly cause worthless slugs to deport themselves to the northern states of which Ohio would be a part of.
The Constitution would be fortified. IN Example, the 2nd amendment would be re-written to say that everyone would be Required to on a firearm and be proficient with it. We would surely add that Congress would not be able to make law that applies to the citizens but not to themselves, and vice versa. We put a stop to dat chit.

We'll take Southern California as a matter of course to we can positively stop illegal immigration. Either stop it or put them on busses with $100 and a loaded firearm and ship them off to the North. I have many more ideas of course, as it is a big subject.

    1. Me, neither!

I am a lifelong resident of Fairfax County as was my father (b. 1911) before me. This is my ancestral land.

We should wall off the District of Columbia -- think the movie Escape from New York (starring Kurt Russell).

    2. Your "ancestral land" was taken over by the "Huns" long, long ago, AOW. It's time to get practical, face Reality, stop living in a fantasy world, and either ADMIT we have been defeated and virtually enslaved, OR make whatever sacrifices necessary to stage an all out, full-blooded REVOLUTION.

Frankly, I don't think there are enough people sufficiently deprived of creature comforts or angry enough to be motivated by Principle left for the latter. ALL we're doing in the blogosphere amounts to spinning our wheels in the sand.

Might as well go out in the fields and shake your fist at the sky for all the good this EMPTY RHETORIC is doing.

I know. But I don't have to like it.

I was seriously pursuing selling out so as to move when I was struck ill. This year. There's no hope of moving for a while now. Next surgeries: October 17 (minor) and November 21 (major). Quite a long period of recovery, too. After that, I hope that that the market is strong enough so that I can sell and do something.

  7. So, we're back to the days preceding the Civil War, where northern Americans despised southerners because they depended on slave labor, and southern Americans despised northern Americans because, well, because they are despicable.

These same sentiments are present in the country today, only reversed: northern Americans hate southern Americans because they are NOT dependent on slavery (government provided subsistence, enslaving all who take this deal from the devil). Southern Americans hate northern Americans because the legislation that the northern majority passes takes money from their pockets and gives it to their northern neighbors so that they can sit around and do nothing, except continue to vote to take southern money via the ham fisted power of the northern federal government.

I see a call to arms. Where's Honest Abe when you need him?

    1. The unconstitutional decisions made by "Honest ABE" have proved to be The Beginning of the End of the United States of America envisioned by the Founders, Fredd.

We have NEVER recovered from the Civil War. It made the enormous increase in Centralized Power the hideous reality it is today, and completely destroyed the concept of FEDERALISM.

Abandoning Principle in favor of EXPEDIENCY using "Doing The Right Thing" as an excuse for circumventing constitutional strictures is the ROOT of all that has gone wrong.

Whenever Sentiment is allowed to trump Reason, we move into that famous "slippery slope" which never fails to move os on a slide to the bottom.

  12. Sorry to intrude with Off Topic comment, but I want to register my opinion of the Vice Presidential Debate in as many place as I can, I think it's important to be aware of what's going on with the presidential campaign.

Tim Kaine is a rude, nasty, ill-bred, loudmouth. In short a despicable SHIT.

Mike Pence is positively NOBLE. I don't know how he was able to stop himself from getting up, pulling the bastard up out of his chair by the scruff of his thick neck, and punching his lights out.

Governor Pence was unable to get a word in edgewise most of the evening, because of the constant interruptions from Twerpy Kaine. And when he did manage to eke out a sentence or two, Kaine pulled a Joe Biden by jerking his head head constantly, twitching, smirking, scowling, and keeping much of his body in constant motion.

In stagecraft that's a NO-NO. Actors can get fired for trying it onstage to draw attention away form a central character ––. But, Kaine –– like Biden with Paul Ryan in 2012 ––, has turned the major distraction of rude, clownish, impertinent, indirect physical commentary into a fine art.

The MODERATOR failed completely to perform her role adequately. She seemed unable –– or more likely unwilling –– to govern Kaine's OUT of ORDER behavior, so the Twerp got away with hogging all the attention and sucking most of the oxygen out of the room. I felt like STRANGLING the bastard, and could hardly make myself stay with this travesty of proper debate procedure. I felt short of breath with indignation the whole time.

ALSO, every time Governor Pence DID manage even to begin making a point the friggin' MODERATOR interrupted him, but she made only the feeblest, ineffectual attempt to reign in the vicious, demonic Twerp.

It was worse than an interview with Bill O'Reilly. Mike Pence is a perfect gentleman, but I so wanted him to man up and neutralize his OBSCENE antagonist by playing the thug,

Altogether a HORRIBLE, almost unendurable experience, but no doubt the DIRTOCARAT will be declared The Winner, because –– thanks no doubt to the pernicious influence of rock 'n roll, and all its hideous derivatives –– John Q. Publick just loves to witness savage, unbridled CACOPHONY devoid of subtlety and intellectual substance in action.

Pro-WRESTLING is more aesthetically pleasing, and has more socially redeeming qualities to offer than the FILTH dished out by DIRTOCRATS –– may God damn their souls.

This was not a debate it was a Campaign Speech for Hillary Clinton riding roughshod over every attempt the mild-mannered Mike Pence made to answer the questions put to him.

To review the event in a single word:

    DISGUSTING!

    1. FT, Thanks for the update. I don't watch democraps on TV. I have loaded guns in the house and TV's aren't cheap.

Something big must be at stake. I mean bigger than big because of the obvious constant full blown attacks on repubs, Trump, the right and anyone near that section of he population. obama makes ghetto remarks, biden, hilrod, the entire media, CNN making shit up, most of the others doing the same and not even embarrassed when they get caught. And I don't even get near the toilet paper rags like WaPo, salon, atlantic, huffandpuff, etc. I mean this is a complete change of character from even 20 years ago. The government was still raping you without KY but at least they were polite about it. We've really descended and your description of the dem asshole describes it well. Also it is only happening because this is apparently how many people Want them to behave. Idiocracy.

    2. Your humor was not lost on me, Kid. ;-)

I've never had a tougher time sitting through a presentation of any kind before. It took a supreme act of will to make myself watch it after the first ten minutes showed how the thing was bound to go.

I'll bet we could make millions if we designed, manufactured and distributed Obama, Clinton, Kaine dartboards, and a line of toilet paper with their ugly faces printed on each square.
