What do you think of Pavel Tchelitchew (1898-1952)? [It's pronounced Chellacheff] He too was a master of Surrealism and his brushwork was the equal of Dali's.
Russian born to a wealthy family and educated by pivate tutors, Tchelitchew left Russia in 1920, then lived in Paris, was well acquainted with Gertrude Stein and her now-famous circle of significant avant garde artists, authors, poets, playwrights, fashion designers, etc. becoming especually close to Edith Sitwell. Later became a U.S. citizen, but died in Italy. He's buried in Pere La Chaise cemetery in Paris.
He's in MOMA in New York, but nowhere near as famous as Dali.
Fredd, this is why you have me to interpret these things for you free of charge and without malice of forethought or danger of random accusations 30 years from now when you finally decide to run for President.
That picture of earth looks a lot like an twenties-century artist's representation of a colorful FISH swimming in an aquarium –– or the vastness of Outer Space.
That was photoshopped. :)
ReplyDeleteNo way Ed. It ain't got nuthin to do wit climate change.
DeleteAMAZING? Clicking on it says it's real....who'd imagine that?!
ReplyDeleteZ, Exactly.
DeleteI have to admit this is past my bandwidth... but hey, a pretty picture and once again the Universe is a very nice place to visit.

DeleteLooks like Matisse or Joan Miro in one of their wilder psychedeluded moments.
ReplyDeleteI like Surreal art Franco like Dali, Mc Escher, and others. And many of the masters also.

DeleteAt 63 now, in 30 years my platform will be 'Prunes for every man!' And, 'Free Chaopectate, it's a human right!"
ReplyDeleteOr I'll be dead, and the Republicans will stuff me and prop me up in front of the cameras and run me on some old school meme or other.

DeleteHey! I just thought of something else:

Be a great picture for a little kid's room.
Franco, I agree, but not a gender confused child. I think it would make him/her/it nutso.
