Just Playin With My Bud !

We've fostered cats and dogs and they were often much better than the cartoons.

  1. You know how when kids are playing, sometimes one kid will suddenly turn serious and then the SHTF ... does that ever happen with cats & dogs at play?

    1. Mustang, when cats are about to blow, their tail will twitch rapidly back and forth. By my experience, dogs will pick up on this and just tell the cat they are late for a dining appointment and head off.

  2. OK, am I wrong to say THAT CAT IS MEANER THAN THE DOG!? The dog even sort of tries to pet the cat and the cat goes nuts! You know I'm a HUUUGE cat fan but I think I'd take that very sweet dog home before I took THAT cat :-) VERY cute video...if you're rooting for the cat :-)

    1. Naw, definitely playing all the way Z. Best way to tell is you don't see any blood or fur in the air, or anyone yowling. They are each capable of inflicting serious damage.
Maybe it was martial arts class time as well.

We once had a kitten, all grey (Grey Goose) who would drink out of the Rottweilers water bowl. Once he climbed on to the dogs back and did a Muhammed Ali on him. The dog looked like he was laughing. Lots of stories like that.

    2. Well, Ok, but that cat's a lot more assertive than the dog!!

    3. It looks to me like the dog is aware of his size and weight compared to the cat and is just being careful.

  3. Kung Foo Kitteh!!! Holy crap - I can't imagine Erica kitteh doing that to Frankie doggie. We'd have to put him in therapy for stress. He jumps a foot if she looks at him with narrowed eyes. The few times she's taken a playful swipe at him he about has a cow with plenty of shrieking.

    1. Adrienne, it sounds like Frankie has experienced the Bruce Lee claw at least once. One of the reasons you see tiny cats laying on the huge dog bed with the dog hesitant to kick them off.
(Solution to that of course is get two huge dog beds.)

    2. Frankie would NEVER kick Erica out of his bed in my office. He just heads off to his bed in hubby's office. Smart doggie!
