What Else Do You Need to Know

And this is true.  It's so true it would make your head spin if you could somehow realize how true it is.

  1. People were raised to have good character. In the 1960s, the cunning commies took over, seducing the younger generation with flower power and anti-war messages.

But the anti-war war was really ON. Against society and accepted mores. They have done much damage, and Obama is their child.

    1. That's a very accurate summary. Kids were raised to have good character. Hell, kids were 'raised'.

      Things really were different.

As kids we were all over the neighborhood. 2-3 miles away from the house most days, further still if we felt like it on our bikes - home for dinner or 'when the streetlights came on'. Clearly no parent was particularly afraid of having their child snatched up by some vermin. Dad's car didn't have rear seat belts. We stood on the "observation deck" of Greater Pittsburgh Airport and watched some of the first jets, Boeing 707's, taxi out and take off. And carry that attitude through to everything else in our lives. It was fantastic, and now it really pretty much sucks. The children are in charge, the fringe people are bleating for special treatment, and government control is so pervasive it's like little Russia. They've turned this country into a giant day care center and it has only made things worse. The kids don't know the difference, and when you try to tell them, they look at you like you're a bug.

But we shall not only endure, we shall prosper.

    1. Carol-CS. The education system is the focal point. Fix that and everything else falls into place. Ron Paul has my vote just based on that alone. Too bad I won't be able to cast it.

  3. Kid: Economically, Ron Paul has it right. Everything else, he's a nut. You could still write him in, though, Kid. But Mitt's not an ogre (although Obama will portray him as Beelzebub in the campaign, just watch), and he'll come through for us.

AND FYI: Those 'nice' bears back in the day mauled lots of folks, but it didn't make the 6:00 news usually. Now a kid falls off his bike, and it's captured by an iPhone on video and makes every damn news channel in the country.

    1. Fredd, I'm Voting Against the Democrats as I've always done, so whomever is running.

There are a couple things that bother me about Paul, neither of which is closing 5 useless money sucking liberal departments of the Federal Government, (Education the 1st on my priority list) and his Foreign Policy which I have No problem with whatsoever, as long as he provides the utmost in national security.

Frankly I'll be one surprised Mother if Romney does anything meaningful to cancel oblabbercare. That this is Pure fricken Evil and has to be job 1. We'll be lucky if Romney gets elected, then we'll be even luckier if it isn't just another round of liberal light with a right hand spin.

    2. Judging by the way things went in Indiana, when ol' RINO Dick Lugar went down in flames, I suspect the Romney inaugural speech will be given to a crowd of 500,000, all of them with pitchforks and torches in hand.

The political landscape is looking like the pendulum is swinging back in our direction, Kid. And swinging with some oomph on it...

    3. Fredd, Yes, I do see some bright spots. I just hope enough folks know that it's going to take a few elections. It can be done.
