For The Victims of 9-11-2001

It's nowhere near enough, but what would be.

Day is done,
gone the sun,
from the lakes
from the hills
from the sky,
all is well,
safely, rest,
God is near.

Fading light,
Dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky
Gleaming bright,
From afar,
Drawing, near,
Falls the night.

Thanks and praise,
For our days,
Neath the sun
Neath the stars
Neath the sky,
As we go,
This, we, know,
God is near.

  1. It is true that nothing would be enough, but near enough for us would be to always remember...and I know that you always will.

the sad thing is:while i watching with mom who didn't comprehend with her medication early morning that day,i was in shivers for the rest of the family stuck in london, luckily.

  3. Hello Kid: Thank you for posting this. I always get very sad when I hear "Taps". We need to honor and remember our war hero's every day!.
That is a beautiful poem, too. God Bless
