    1. Agree Z. :) I read recently that there may be a billion Earth-like planets just in our galaxy, that we'll never be able to travel to btw.

    1. Bunk, NASA is very soon sending a nuclear powered drone to one of Saturn's moons - Titan - to fly around and explore. I think within a couple years.

Are you familiar with the Cassini spacecraft visit to Saturn? Do some searches on that, incredible images of all the moons, and it also carried the 'Huygens Probe' that descended by parachute down to Titan's surface and taking video most of the way.

      Here's the youtube on it

  3. I have a hard time with these NASA pictures because, as I understand it, the role of NASA is to offer opportunities for Moslem scientists ... and social engineering, of course. IMO, we ought to privatize 99.9% of government agencies, and at the top of that list is NASA. Also, and I don't have any facts but hope you can provide some clarification, Kid ... isn't it true that if NASA made up the moon missions on a Hollywood stage, then we don't know for sure that these pictures are real, either. I await your guidance.

    1. Mustang, you can see a lot of this stuff with even a smallish telescope. You don't get the colors but that would suggest the stuff is real anyway.

We need mass transit of moslems into space. Mars, the moon, go explore the sun, etc.

I like the idea of privatizing much of the federal government, but not as union people. and they'd have to turn a profit to stay in business. If no one will pay them for their cave spider sex life studies, Opps, out of business.

  4. Growing up my father's hobby was Astronomy. He had a room built behind the garage that had two garage doors for a roof that opened up. Then up came the telescope. I miss those days.

    1. Odie, we've got an 8 inch Celestron but haven't been motivated to get it out for a while because too much light pollution. Plus, having these images coming out everyday makes us less interested in just looking at white or bluish shapes in the sky. Maybe if we could see the Milky Way.

  5. Still looks like the paint spilled on my garage floor. And you don't see me plastering MY site with those images of my garage floor. Just sayin', Kid...

How about bashing some liberals for a change? Now, that's some material I can sink my teeth into.

    1. We agree AOW. To me, politics has just gotten to be unwatchable and unreadable though I will be happy to give thoughts on my favorite blogs.

    2. Politics inspires me to have gruesome fantasies about how much I'd like to any number of these disgusting "public figures" pilloried, garotted, lowered into cauldrins of boiling oil, dsmebweled with red hot pokers, drawn and quartered, burnt at the stake, etc.

We're too civilized to deal effectively with threats to our freedom, national security, and traditional way of life, but not civilized enough to overcome evil with good.

    1. Adrienne, Don't tell me I don't have a dedicated tab in your browser anymore :)

We must deal with Orange just like the democrats and the left have to do everyday. Wink.

    2. I sometimes miss stuff in my Feedly even though I moved Gateway Pundit and Instapundit out of my "news" feed so that wouldn't happen. But - things still slip by. Sigh!
