Just a silly comment on my part Z. Yes, very real. Charged particles from the sun hit the magnetic field about the poles and make these colors and shapes. This is what you'd see with the naked eye.
Hey! It just occured to me that the picture looks a lot like the "CYCLONE" that whisked Dorothy away from Kansas, and took her to the Emerald City in OZ.
Those leafless, dry looking branches in the foreground clawing at the sky in silhouette could easily represent "Kansas."
Sure is, Kid, but I never cease to wonder why too many of us human beings feel compelled always to dwell on the least attractive, lleast rewarding, least reassuring, most discouraging, most depressing, most enervating, most appalling aspects of life?
What you give us here is often not only beautiful it is also exciting, and should inspire great curiosity, yet most choose to ignore it in favor of topics that arouse anger and dissatisfaction.
Why I don't know. Do tell me, if you ever find out will you, please?
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, KID to YOU, YOUR FAMILY, and all your KITTYCATS!
THAT IS AMAZING! Don't see the Democrat connection but THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! And it's REAL??

DeleteFOR the BEAUTY of the EARTH
ReplyDelete1. For the beauty of the earth,
for the glory of the skies,
for the land which from our birth
over and around us lies.
Lord of All to thee we raise
this, our hymn of grateful praise.
2 .For the wonder of each hour
of the day and of the night,
hill and vale and tree and flower,
sun and moon and stars of light,
Lord of All to thee we raise
this, our hymn of grateful praise.
3. For the joy of human love,
brother, sister, parent, child,
friends on earth, and friends above,
for all gentle thoughts and mild,
Lord of All to thee we raise
this, our hymn of grateful praise.
4. For thyself, best gift divine,
to the world so freely given,
agent of God's grand design:
peace on earth and joy in heaven.
Lord of All to thee we raise
this, our hymn of grateful praise.
Lots of beauty here on Earth Franco.

Thanks Franco, and to you. Well, hate is a drug for some people. They need it.
ReplyDeleteI guess so, Kid, but it doesn't make SENSE that it should be that way.
