    1. AOW, Thank You. I thought it might be too negative at the end. But at this point, I have no patience with those who have been and will continue to be a party to the destruction of America. I have no desire to coddle them, speak to them respectfully, etc. We are at war and they are the enemy.

Of Course, I hope you and Mr AOW had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I put in a good word for you occasionally when I think of all you do for those around you and then generally speaking- for us.

    2. Mr. AOW and I had a great Thanksgiving feast with my Chinese clients, whom we also count as friends.

On the menu: smoked turkey, fried salmon with sauce, Oriental noodles, Chinese sweet potato, and much more. The only usual thing not on the table -- a green vegetable, such as asparagus or green beans.

    3. AOW, Have you ever tried Dim Sum? Chinese brunch. Sunday is the day to go and between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm usually works out best.

Sounds like you had a nice day. :)

    4. Kid,
Yes, Mr. AOW and I have tried Dim Sum -- at a local place called Uncle Liu's Hot Pot. My Chinese client took us there for brunch one weekday.

I've also feasted on these. Love 'em!

    5. I took homemade pumpkin pie to the dinner. Another client -- a baker extraordinaire, who makes her own filling from pumpkins that she herself harvests -- gave us the pie the day before.

    6. AOW, Yes, those BBQ Pork dumplings look great. We have a couple great places to go here for it and many more far less than great places. Then again, Cincinnati is not known for great food. Triple D has been here twice and I wouldn't be interested in going to either place they showcased.

  5. Thanksgiving comes but once a year
And when it comes, it lasts for an entire weekend,
But should bring everlasting gratitude and good cheer.

    1. FT, I hope you had a great one. To me, it is good food, good companionship and fellowship, and a time to take stock and be thankful for at least something. We ALL know too many someone's who are no where near as well off as we are.

I hope you had a great day, too! I'm still full.

I like FT's sentiment...........a favorite quote of mine is "Gratitude turns what we have into enough".. Anonymous.

    1. Z, That is a great quote. Kinda like my reply to FT. I recommend a white chocolate chip cookie for dessert :)

    2. If you really want to know, I'd prefer a good old-fashioned applesauce cake with ice cold milk to any other dessert. If not available, my cranberry-raisin-walnut-apple pie with the pinwheel crust would do nicely. ;-)

BTW, whatever happened to PUMPKIN ICE CREAM? They used to supply that during "The Holidays" years ago, and it was good, so why did it disappear? Anyone have a clue?

    3. FT, The democrats made pumpkin ice cream illegal. You can't even get it with a CCW.
