    1. Z, There's a live version, much later than this recording and he does it so much better yet but it's not on youtube.

Well, this is one of the tunes I really tried to get when I started trying to play at 13. Thanks for stopping by. It was getting lonely. ;-)

  2. Chet Schmet. Tiny Tim could really pick that ukulele, too Kid. When he belts out "Tiptoe Through the Tulips,' there's not a foot in the room that's not a-tappin'...

    You know it's true.

    1. Fredd Schmedd. Ya, I know you're funnin.... But - Chet was an enigma my friend. He inspired thousands of guitar players and the vast majority of anyone who picked up a guitar between 1950 and 1970 for sure. George Harrison for example was a big fan. George played a Gretsch because that's what Chet was playing at the time. A little History.

  3. Sounds like an acoustic version of Eddie Van Halen's Erruption? Just kidding. Only ONE Chet Aykins. Loved him on American Idol.

  4. Masterful guitar work. Wonderful to hear again.

One of my favorites. Wonder if you know of this ... Al De Meola's Elegant Gypsy. I wonder what happened to him?

    1. Cube, I looked that up on youtube and there is a 2015 tour live version, so I guess he's still out there.
