  1. Dude! Don't think I didn't see that x-rated part!

Truth is, if all the bees disappeared, we would be hard pressed to be able to feed ourselves. God bless the bees and the circle of life.

  2. Opus, Can't hide anything from you! My Fav part was the hummingbird doing barrel rolls watching the bee flying around. :)

And did you know that the Hummers steal spiders web to use in building their nests. It makes them super strong.

The circle of life. Such Beauty. Such fragility. Such endurance.
That vid was Way too short.

  3. No, I didn't know about the spider web stealing. Cool. I love hummingbirds. They are so pretty they can get away with just about anything. And their babies are too cute.

  4. Opus, Oh Yeah. And the nests aren't quite large enough of the babies, like in this picture

When I worked for the software company in the Phoenix area, there was a hummingbird nest right outside my office window built upon the vines hanging down from the trees. We put signs up, attached to the vine so the landscapers wouldn't bother them by accident. :)

Anyway, when the babies came and grew to just prior to being able to fly, one was sticking out the left, one to the right. It was - "Hey, you're crowdin me!" 'Hey, Move over!" All day long..

In the fall when some the leaves fell, the hummers would hover just above the ground then swoop down like helicopters blowing a leaf aside, looking for bugs underneath.
I miss those days for more reasons than the hummers..

  7. Kid:

Nice diversion, but it's time to get back to your job of bashing Obama, the Liberal In Chief, and liberalism in general.

I'll help you out, here. QUESTION: How many Obamas does it take to screw in a light bulb?

That should be an easy one, Kid...

  8. Fredd, We need Carl Sagan for the answer to that one.
I think Carl would say, "Whatever number you come up with, just add 1".
