An Appeal to Bloggers Regards Capcha Codes

.
.
Most Respectfully.
I don't ask for any codes and blogger is really good about keeping spam out of my comments.  It looks like blogger has switched from the verify word to Capcha codes which at times are about impossible to decipher. If you can try to not require a code and see what happens, I for one would appreciate it.

I go in and mass delete the spam comments about once a month.  No fuss, no muss.  Maybe some of you have some comment troubles that I don't have.  If so, I'm sorry to hear it.

Well maybe it's me, but I always end up doing about 4 retries with Capcha codes before I get one right.  It's pretty annoying.  Just sayin.

  1. I hear ya Kid. I also do not require these things as a courtesy to those who may wish to comment.

As to spam I also agree. Ever since I dropped the 3rd party comment thingy spam started like mad but not on my site but rather as you elude to in the spam comment folder.

  2. If my site has a code-I did not ask for it--and would want to know how to get rid of it -
I've determined that I will not comment on sites w/ Capcha-
today is my first and last day to do so...
Kid-if my site has a Capcha- could you let me know-

  3. I do the same thing, I also use disquis, which is free and even better! Blogger still captures tons of spam, just delete it. Wish we could do the same with other spammy ppl in gov't

  4. I've had a hard time with this the past week, blogger has done a terrible job setting it up.

  5. I hate these, too, and will often not even bother to leave a comment because of it. :(

  6. To All. I appreciate your comments and that you share my sentiment.

See my latest post from today. I appears there may not be a way to turn it off until google makes some changes to the new blogger.

I'm going to research getting my own domain at godaddy and getting this blog content transferred to it. I'm not optimistic on the transfer part though.
