Fly Inside With the Blue Angels

.
.
After posting this Blue Angels picture on the right side, I went to their site and found they've upgraded it to have video of most of the entire show shot from the cockpits of the performing aircraft.  If you love air-shows, the Blue Angels, fighter planes, and piloting like I do, you will enjoy this.

Click the picture.  You'll note an icon on the lower right of the split screen that is a box with shadow line bottom and left and an arrow pointing into the box, that's full screen.  If you hit that, the vid is more enjoyable, but if the video gets stuck as it has for me, you'll need to go back to non full screen and click on the next clip to restart it.
Personally, I start on # 7, which is the F/A-18 part of the show.

Update:  Here is the same picture in high resolution.  Click on it a couple times and you can really get some nice detail. More available at their site by pressing the 'aircraft' button.
(And if you use Firefox and install the add-on called Image Zoom, you can blow these up even more.)

  2. Hi Bunni, Yes, they are. I've seen the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels and the Blue Angels have the better show.

Isn't it amazing that we even make machines that do this stuff? :)

  7. Carol-CS, Yep, I like the 130's too, especially the AC-130 gunship.

  8. Trestin, I've seen a documentary on when they add a new team member. It takes more than talent to get on that team. And it was an interesting documentary if you see it coming on sometime. Obvious they're looking for a certain type of individual which does not reflect poorly on anyone not selected.

These guys really hang it out though.
I saw them at the small Deer Valley Airport North of Phoenix once. When the one of the Solos came over the crowd on a high speed run, you'd swear if you jumped up you could touch him. (they're a couple hundred feet of course)
