Proof That You Cannot Raise The Lower Class

Section 8 Housing.

Section 8 housing destroys neighborhoods. An argument was made in Cincinnati several years ago that section 8 neighborhoods were hell holes because they were not the kinds of places people would ever want to live, and no one was in the neighborhood to provide better examples of how to live and maintain one's property.

So they put a number of section 8 families in a golf course development. Nothing rich, just a real nice middle class place to live. A few years later the place was a hell hole. This is because section 8 people for the most part do not know how to live respectfully within a community or control their kids who ransack the area with vandalism and other constant nuisance activity of which there is no recourse because they aren't adults ! And their parents can't afford to make good for their vandalism, so anyone in the neighborhood who is worth more than a pair of crocs takes a huge loss on their property and moves the hell out. I personally know people who have had to deal with this and the police and legal system are powerless to do anything about any of it.

The kid can't be put in jail. The parent (yea singular) can't afford restitution. The parent can't be taken away from the minor - even if there Was jail space, which there isn't.

What else does anyone need to know ?

This is exactly the Democrat agenda for America. Not really a plan, because I really do believe many of them are stupid enough to still believe you can put section 8 people in a golf course community and it will all work out peachy.

We will find ourselves living not only in one big freakin day care center where you will pay excessive extra tax for consuming anything that the moronic liberals deem as unhealthy, or hurts the environment or simply hasn't been taxed enough yet, you will find yourself in one huge section 8 development where there are no consequences for ignorant destructive behavior because this is the natural behavior of liberals to begin with. That can't be a crime can it? Besides, there wouldn't be enough prison space !

How in the F did this happen.... You gotta wonder. Well, people voted for it for starters but that's not the cause, that's a symptom.

  1. Good one.
Henry A. Wallace did this in reverse.
The Farmers were submitted to FDR's version of Cap and Trade.
Henry Wallace, Dept. of Agriculture, took control of the grain prices: The Agriculture Adjustment Act.
Lowered the price of grain for export. Running the Farmers into bankruptcy. The majority of farmers were the Black Families that were given Acreage and Mules after the War Between The States. Then rounded them up and put in the Projects (public housing), gave them Checks for the difference that their grain would have gotten in the Free Market.
This is why all Welfare Checks are issued from the Dept. of Agriculture! And the Black Folks are so grateful of the Democrats. This why no one will be able to convince them that the Dems are out to get Us.

  2. Liberal Democrats are always trying to make up for one deficiency in society: good moral parenting. Every program that they start, from welfare to education reform and everything in between, is an attempt to make up for a lack of good moral parenting somewhere. There are two flaws to their plans that they never seem to realize. One is that you cannot legislate good parenting. The second is that you cannot have morals without a moral standard, God. Every plan they have is doomed to fail before they start, due to these deficiencies. Well, that, and the fact that they do not understand basic accounting.

  3. They Say, Thank you, I hadn't heard that story.
    It sure fits.

  4. Arby, I'd say you nailed it.

Have they ever started a program that was successful ?
Social Security was for a while. Ditto Medicare, but pretty much everything else has been a dismal failure from the word go.

  5. Most of society's problems can be traced back to broken families.

Violence, drugs, teenage pregnancy, failure at school, the absence of personal responsibility all stem from the lack of a stable family environment.

Which the Democrats, as with Labour in the UK, undermine at every opportunity. As Arby says, families provide a moral standard - government manifestly cannot.

  7. That Section 8 housing story doesn't surprise me. When you earn things, you take care of them because you know what it cost, not just in dollars, but in your time and toil. When things are just handed to you, and you expect those handouts, you take it for granted and don't give a damn.

  8. Looks like we all agree! :-)

Here's another quick story. A black girl that works in the warehouse where I work says she had section 8 people move into part of her apartment building that was reclassified as such. This girl I know is poverty level certainly. She says the girl that moved in pays 8 bucks a month for the same apartment she pays hundreds for and parties all night, etc. The girl puts her trash out in the hallway, so every so often the girl I know calls the board of health to come over - they do, and when the girl sees the girl I know, she thanks her for calling the board of health to come over and deal with the situation because 'it sure was getting smelly around her apartment'. I shit you not.

There is nothing wrong with the girl, no reason she couldn't be out working at McDonalds or any number of other jobs.
