Out of the Darkness and Into the Light

Well golly, imagine my surprise to find a tune I like released in 2018.

Out of the darkness
Into the light
Let it go easy
Not without a fight
No matter the distance
And how far I run
You'll always be missing
When the day is done

Hey, love, the truth is that I really know why
I just let the wild wind decide
Cause I go blind when I try to find you
Yes I go blind when I try to find you
But I'll find you

So what's your conviction?
What is your truth?
What's your prediction?
To know for what use?
But we make our own dreams
It's perfectly clear
I still present the taste
When you're not there

Oh, hey, love, the truth is that I really know why
I just let the wild wind decide
Cause I go blind when I try to find you
Yeah, I go blind when I try to find you
Yeah, I go blind when I try to find you
Yeah, I go blind when I try to find you
But I'll find you

I'll find you

  1. The pseudo religious overtones speak to the yearning to find Truth, to find God, but to do it on one's own terms and not His.

    1. I just like the tune Ed. I see lots of translations actually. We're always looking for something eh?

    2. Interesting take, Ed....some truth in it. Unless we actually GO to Him, we do stay blind.

    3. Kid....lots of translations, true.....yes, we are always looking...until we get a tad older and, hopefully, have found some of it. I know faith has helped me, but let's face it...
SOMETIMES IT'S JUST A NICE MELODY and NICE LYRIC without much need for interpretation! This melody doesn't do it much for me BUT I like very much her style, the production qualities, etc..really 'haunting'..and I actually like the lyrics!! Really provocative...and evocative! ;-)

    4. Z, you describe it the way I would have. Not much melody there, just enough to que the vocals. Nice little background tune.

  2. I think that WE should make a Holiday for Rush Limbaugh, after all we have a Martin Luther King Day, and Rush was 100 time better American that MLK was. Theres not even a contest

    1. I heartily applaud this move Chick!

Hey Steve, take 10 million more from the ghettos with you.

I did read where Ghana has been advertising that blacks unhappy in the US should move there for a 'better life'.
