Can't Remember if I posted This Yet or Not.

Well, who gives a damn.

He is up in years here and still played them pretty well.

That first number reminded me of Tico Tico –– a little.

Sure beats Wall Talk, don't it, Kid? ;-)

    1. Franco Since you mention Tico Tico, here is Tommy Emmanuel's protege. YGP - Young Guitar Player. Which is a play on CGP - Certified Guitar Player.

      Frano !

He is 8 yrs old in this one

    2. Franco, I picture you playing the piano like Frano plays the guitar at that age.

    3. Oh, First tune is Blue Angel. Last tune is Cascade (of notes) Darned if I know what #2 is but I like it.

    4. Genius alqways shows up very early, Kid. There's no explaining it, but its undoubted existence throughout history is why I believe in God. I've done a lot of good playing for a lot of years and written see good compositions too, but I had to work very heard to be able to do it. The music just seems to POUR out of these guitar guys young and old as though it were as natural to them as breathing.

Funny though, I was less impressed with Frano at 13 than I was with him at 8. He still has a way to go if he ever hopes to equal the achievements of his mentor Tommy Emmanuel, who is one IMPRESSIVE dude. Seems like such a NICE guy too. Nothing moddy or egotistical about him. AMAZING!

If you want to hear me as I was eight month;s ago, try googling this:

      F.T. Hyramess plays Beethoven, Opus 81a https://youtu.be/Eqq1eQuI2b4

I made that recording to celebrate my 77th birthday. Beethoven may take a little gettng used to for ya, but I still think you might like it. With few exceptions, –– when I played dance jobs and club dates to make a few bucks ––, I spent my whole life studying and performing clsssical music.

    5. agree completely Franco, with the exception that Tommy had to work Very hard to be able to play like he does. As he puts it "It takes a tremendous amount of work and I was willing to put in the work." He's got some instruction vids on youtube, like for Day Tripper. Give you an idea of the amount of work.

    6. Franco Very nice work. Sounded a little more like a Mozart with its lightness than a Beethoven though you can still hear some of the dark Beethoven in there.

Someone once said, it's not the notes it's the space between the notes. I'd say that fits this tune pretty well.

    7. The program note published uner See More do a great deal to explain what the piece is all about.

Each of the three movements is briefly characterized by one word.

      Farewell
      Absence
      Return

The Return is one of the most EXUBERANT expressions of pure joy in all music literature.

    2. Franco, Yea, Evil democrats, useless republicans and Trump trying to save America. Pure disgust but no where near the level of what would be going on with the beast in there.

Listening now btw. So how did Beethoven write music being deaf? feeling the vibrations off the piano?

    3. Beethoven wasn't always deaf. He –– like most of the really great musicians –– had such a good ear, that he was able to REMEMBER what every combination of notes he could imagine sounded like. So, about halfway through his life when he became stone deaf, he wrote down what he heard inside his fantastic imagination. I'm sure Tommy Emmanuel has an absolutely fabulous ear also, even though he's never learned to read music.he wrote.

All music begins in someone's imagination anyway.

Bc went bind the last few years of his life, but he was able to DICTATE what he heard n his remarkable head to his sons, who wrote down what he told them on parchment, and that's how we got The Art of Fugue –– Bach's last composition listerally dictated from his deathbed.

I am no genius, but even I have been able to train myself to be able n my mind's eye to see, hear and feel or pantomime my way through the pieces I play away from the keyboard. In fact these days I do most of my practicing either in an easy chair or in bed.

MOST of it is mental, even though what most enjoy about music is the physical sound we produce either by singng or on our various instruments.

I hope you enjoyed the Beethoven?

  4. Chet Atkins sort of reminds me of myself in this video; up in age, plays a mean guitar. Well, okay ... maybe just up in age. Very enjoyable music, Kid.
