  1. Time to buy DUST, Kid. As much as you got stashed in your mattress, pull it out and bet the farm on DUST. You heard it here first.

    1. Fredd, the elliot wave guy was pounding on the table to buy GDX in the 12.50 -13 range.

That's exactly where it launched from. Well Elliot wave is not a daily timing thing, so if you jump in too early, you could really take some pain especially with 3Xer

Did you see GDX today? Up 5.x %. So DUST is down 15 % while NUGT continues to rise another 15% today. Well going short is not something you want to do early. 2nd mouse gets the cheese. SO I'm going to wait for GDX to fall from the high, retest the high and fail, then I'll start moving in on DUST.

My current guy that I subscribe to give me information in the following form

"Gold must retest the recent high of 1362, so long as 1322 holds as support." SO, it is a If-Then-Else analysis. 1000 times better than I can do with my ouiji board.

He also puts out a recorded video showing his chart analysis and reasons. The guy is unreal. You'd think he programs the HFT machines. also puts out targets on the Euro and other currencies, Silver, Natural Ga, Crude Oil. RodDavid.com if you want to take a peak. He is a day trading focus for what I get, but I thin he has some other products like swing trading. No long term analysis, though he mentions he is bullish on gold over the long term.. Just no specific numbers.

I've been subscribing for about a year now, and his targets get hit to the dollars and cents 99.9% of the time.

Well, not yet time for DUST. Gold has another 18 points to go from where it is now (1344)

    2. Reminds me of the man who told Dustin Hoffman to invest in plastics in the Mrs. Robinson movie ;)

    3. Cube, That would have been a good idea. Apple computers would have even been better.

  2. Ouija boards have as much reliability in the long run as anything else out there. Short term analysis works well at the craps table, too. When in doubt, bet the field.

My gold analysis consists of living a longer life than most. I remember when Dick Nixon took us off the gold standard, I was 14, and my dad said we were all doomed. Then I recall it shooting up from around $32/oz to over a hundred. I did not have any money at the time to buy jack squat, but gold was on the rise. Then it hit close to $900, then tanked down to $320 or so. And stayed there for a decade.

Gold could dwindle down to $900/0z, and stay there for 20 years, Kid. Then what? I've got no feel for gold, at all. All I can do is live life and watch people lose their shirts on the stuff.

Now cattle futures, there's the real deal. I heard a lady bought $1,000 worth of cattle futures and cashed them in for $100,000.00. How do I get in on that action, I wanna know.

    1. Fredd, lots of ways to skin the cat. But yea, I'd never buy physical gold and sit on it. I remember Jackie Onassis buying at 300, selling at 800. I think that's the time frame you're talking about. Anyway, the really big money is always an inside job.

Unless you were a geek in 2005, bought 1,000 shares of Apple for an 8k investment, held it until a couple years ago, having your shares split a couple times and sold it for 1.4 mil.

  3. You guys ever heard of BETTERMENT? My Bro-in-law is a pretty seasoned investor, takes good care of his $$$, and really likes this company.

  4. Z, I haven't - will have to look into it. If I was 36 instead of 63, I'd be going the Fredd way for 90% of it at least.

  5. I'm really excited about Juno reaching Jupiter. It was the same with Cassini and Saturn.

    1. Euripdes, that Cassini mission was worth the price. All the images, then you had video shot from the Huygens probe as it floated down onto Titan's surface. Lots more.

I think there's going to be some great stuff here if Juno can survive the Jupiter Environment. Read about lots of challenges last week but can't find it now.

    2. Juno's success was the highlight of a depressing Independence Day.

    3. Cube, I just received some music that Jupiter played for Juno as it passed by. I'll post it.

  7. Have you made your blog "poem proof, Kid?

I've tried to post something for Fourth of July I thought someone here might enjoy, and it refuses to show up. That has never happened to me at any other blog.

This is not a complaint, just an honest question. Could it be a bug in my new computer?

Anyway, have as happy a fourth as you can with the damned flu.

    1. FT, There is nothing I know of that would filter content in blogger comments. I checked Spam -nothing there- and don't know where else to look. Try again if you want
