Just FYI - The American Economy Sucks - 93 Million People Not in Labor Force

Yes, 93 million people over the age of 16 are not in the labor force.  A bunch of them are pictured above on some form of permanent vacation that we taxpayers are paying for.  I doubt the number includes illegals, estimated by me at 20 million (some of those are working, we'll be generous and say half) and if we add in the people 16 and under, let's add say another 20 million?    So 93 million plus 10 million illegals plus 20 million kids is 123 million people out of a population of 300 million who are not paying taxes and the vast majority of those people are sucking money out of the system.

Update: Many of those working aren't paying taxes either, and in fact get more money back than they paid in via earned income credit.

Then a bunch of those are problem people so they add to the cost of having them running the streets or jails, especially when they're in jail and get tired of servicing bubba the cellmate so they decide to have us pay for a sex change so they can go live in the women's prison as a lesbian.  And all the other variations of how these suckers cost us money.

I can see your ears coming straight up like a beagle's as you say to yourself 'But Kid, how can the unemployment rate be 5.3% then?"  Answer: The UE number is bullshit.  Just like every other metric published by the government.

    1. Lisa, when I think of it, I have this vision of them spewing sewage on us using a million gallon per minute fire hose. Government, media, many celebrities, etc. 24/7

  2. With all those IOU's in the Social Security Lock Box, and all those 123 Million not putting anything in, SS will not be there for us baby boomers - that's for sure!

    1. And rather than fix it, many politicians are telling us it's our fault. Unreal what people will put up with.

  3. I'm for Donald Trump moving into the oval office and kicking some butt. And just for the record, Rosie O'Donnell is indeed a fat, disgusting slob. The Donald speaks the truth.

  5. "just like every other metric published by the government." The validity of those metrics coming from government are exactly equal to the integrity and worthiness of those involved in selecting the metrics to publish. Time for (yet) another Nazi analogy: when Josef Goebbels issued propaganda as government metrics, how did those metrics stack up against metrics issued by the Angela Merckel administration many decades later?

Both are German metrics. Which have merit, and which are garbage?

Ditto with metrics issued by the Ronald Reagan administration vs the metrics issued by the Barry Sotero administration: which have merit, and which are garbage? Both are U.S. government issued metrics.

    1. Fredd, imo we have not had a president working for America since Reagan. I will say that the numbers have always been BS just like they are int eh business world too, but that the worse thing get as they've gone exponential since about 2007 when the dems got the Senate, the level of BS has to be in proportion to how Fubar'd things are so the number today are much more BS. From climate change to unemployment.

If someone wants to know when the economy is improving, all they nee to do is watch for when the Fed FOMC raises the Fed Funds rate off of the Zero mark.

  6. Man o man...that was good. And I'll bet that's only one picture...probably of Miami Beach too? Then there's Jones Beach in NY...then the Jersey Shore...then we're looking like Greece? Your numbers prove Mitt right once more...that's about 47%, correct? What a country.

    1. IMP, Thank you. I'd say 47% after all the accounting is done is a very valid number.

  7. OT..but since the one year "anniversary" of the thug / punk Michael Brown is going to be recognized and held in Ferguson..along with planned riots and uncivil anarchy...I'd like to add this little ditty for his psycho admirers:

There once was a thug named Brown.
He rushed a cop with a frown.
    6 bullets later,
    he met the creator,
and his Homies burned down the town!

    1. IMP, Good Stuff. I'm think that if thugs are glorified then things break down that much faster. And they are. Hey, the closer we get to the masses feeling the pain the closer we are to turning this 20 trillion ton freighter around.

    3. Kid,
Is there any chance of turning this 20 trillion ton freighter around?

    4. AOW, There is a chance. I'd say it's about as likely as a single mother turning her 17 year old daughter with unlimited credit and a coke habit around. Maybe not quite that good.

Yeah, I agree with that assessment.

  8. We Americans have to understand that anyone who wants to become president is a piece of doody. We must hate these bastards, not glorify them. Trump no exception. SMALL government, emphasize State sovereignty. Shoot anyone who disagrees ... Heh.

  11. Kudos too taking on such a broad topic with a nice neat small article. SOOO many people unemployed, yes, huge student loan debt for a career you can't begin--because there is no work available, the cost of a mortgage--interest, hospital bills--even if you have insurance, and why is there a death penalty in some states when it's never used? and we support those criminals. It is set up to be a loose, loose scenario. It's all just crazy. And whats all this talk about the economy picking up, that's all you read back in January, I have an online business that was picking up and finally beginning to do well last year, and for the past three months--next to nothing, and others are saying the same--that is the economy picking up? There is nothing here for anyone to reach for. It's impossible to set a goal and aim for success when you are impaled at every turn.

    1. Windy, Thank you and welcome. It is always my aim to bottom line things. I hate 3 page articles when a couple paragraphs will do.

Anyway, I don't know if you saw my comment about the FOMC above, but that even bottom lines it into a single sentence. While the FED (FOMC) leaves their Fed Funds rate at zero % (Also called ZIRP - Zero Interest Rate Policy), then there is no economic recovery. At the height of bubbles, like the Tech bubble of 2000 and the Real Estate bubble of 2007, the Fed Funds rate was more like 6.5%. They raise it when economies get too hot and lower it when the economy is in recession. We're still in recession. You don't need to know anything else You can google FOMC and find all this pretty easy (meeting schedule, rate history in particular)

As asides - Death Penalty: People have freaked out because some folks on death row have been found innocent using modern forensics (DNA for example), so they say We can't be sure they're guilty. Well these people were convicted prior to modern forensics (No DNA for example). Pretty Ironic and pretty stupid not to realize modern forensics will vastly reduce incorrect convictions. Plus, life ain't perfect. I obviously don't support people on death row today even having 20 years to try to appeal their conviction. That shows no regard for the victims and families of the victims. Of course, libtards don't care about the victims or their families.

I have a friend who has a lunch and dinner restaurant business. Better than bar food but less than fine dining. he says he would not even consider opening another restaurant today because of all the government regulation. If he won't do it with all the experience he has under his belt who the hell would?

      Pretty scary for the future.

      Thank you again.
Thank you again, and good luck to you.
