Pretty Cool

A journey through space using actual images from the Hubble culminating in a trip through celestial objects such as galaxies within the Deep Field image.

The video begins (first 6 min) with a quick trip through our solar system before leaving for outer space.

The Hubble Deep Field image appears at 16:30 in the video.

From Wikipedia, linked in the following:

The Hubble Deep Field is an image of a small region in the constellation Ursa Major, constructed from a series of observations by the Hubble Space Telescope. It covers an area about 2.6 arcminutes on a side, about one 24-millionth of the whole sky, which is equivalent in angular size to a tennis ball at a distance of 100 metres.[1] The image was assembled from 342 separate exposures taken with the Space Telescope's Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 over ten consecutive days between December 18 and 28, 1995

  1. I'm thinking not many people have seen what we see in that video over the last thousands of years, huh?
I wish they had; maybe THEY'd understand it :-) I'm hopeless when it comes to outer space, but those images are beautiful and haunting and the music almost makes it sound religious! WHich it could also be, of course :-)

    1. No Z, we have only been able to capture and process images like those since the 1980's or so. There are some telescopes on Earth that can do a good job too but those have only been around 20 years or so.

Well, Einstein connected religion and science at the hip.

    2. WHich makes it even MORE amazing....Clearly, nobody'd seen it before really recently, and we get to...pretty amazing. And YES on EINSTEIN; something a lot don't like to admit!!!

    1. Agree Bunk. 10 trillion galaxies at last estimate by the experts.

  3. Thanks for the star trip. Speaking of which, wisdom has it that each star and planet has a guardian angel. Sounds sappy, eh? Think implacable and purpose.

    Just a thought.

  4. I will never accept Biden's Fraudulency as POTUS - NEVER!! It will be like living a nightmare!! And I will hold on to HOPE until Jan. 20!! Even if - God forbid! - we lose those two Senate seats (and worse, they will be taken by two true POS politicians!!). I guess we'll just have to "hunker down," NEVER give up or give in - and, of course, PRAY!!
