Wow. Just Wow.

Hubble creates an image of the Andromeda galaxy that is so high quality as to reveal each individual star in the galaxy.

 Andromeda is 20 million light years away. One light year = 5.8 Trillion miles.

 We can only hope there are no democrats or moslems there because in x billions of years, Andromeda will be merging with our galaxy.

 Talk amongst yourselves.

      Mustang, I had no idea Hubble could resolve images in this kind of detail...

      We have an 8 inch Celestron that I feel like donating now.

      Ed, I'm thinking my contribution was about 10 cents. And yes, one of the few areas where we taxpayers have gotten some ROI.

    We are nothing but the moral equivalent of subatomic particles in a cosmic soup so vast the human mind cannot begin to imagine it.

    And yet we matter, even if only to ourselves.

    Why do I not fund this depressing?

    Because I believe in some mysterious way realizing how minuscule we are in the Great Scheme brings us closer to God (Truth).

    We all know what you're up to, Kid. Photo shopping all of that sparkly stuff into a picture of a mountain. You surely must have been involved in the phony moon landing, too, which was staged in Tucson. We're on to you, Kid....
