One For Our Sons, Daughters, Wives, Husbands, Mothers and Fathers in Afghanistan
Knights in White Satin. Heroes who gave all, lying in White Satin.
Update: If you look up the lyrics, the chorus is "I Love You", but it sure sounds to me like they are singing "I love You All" - which would make a lot more sense as well.
I never put two and two together either, Kid. This is what they were writing about. God rest the souls of all the brave Knights, lying in repose in their White Satin. Eight more Americans were killed in Afghanistan yesterday in the war, while obummer jets around dithering. For Shame.
PS; Thanks for having me on your blogroll, I have you linked on mine, as well. Happy Sunday.
Nice.
ReplyDeleteThis never was one of my favorites only because I felt it was too over-orchestrated.

ReplyDeleteIn all the times that I've heard this, I've never stopped to think about the lyrics until just now. Thanks for posting it.

ReplyDeleteArby. I never listened to lyrics of pretty much anything until a few years ago. I was only interested in the sounds.
