Why Aren't Liberals Singing This Song?

haha !

The Words...

Seems I've got to have a change of scene
'Cause every night I have the strangest dreams
Imprisoned by the way it could have been
Left here on my own or so it seems
I've got to leave before I start to scream
But someone's locked the door and took the key.

Ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself
Well, ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself

Well boy you sure took me for one big ride
And even now I sit and wonder why
And when I think of you I start to cry
I just can't waste my time I must keep dry
Gotta' stop believing in all your lies
'Cause there's too much to do before I die.

Ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself
Well, ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself

Don't get too lost in all I say
Though at the time I really felt that way
But that was then and now its today
I can't get off yet and so I'm here to stay
'Till someone comes along and takes my place
With a different name and yes a different face.

Ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself
Well, ya' feelin' allright?
I'm not feelin' too good myself

  1. The answer is easy. Liberals lack a grounded sense of history and irony. Both are required to fully appreciate musical poetry.

  2. True.

    The Liberals credo is:

Yesterday never happened and Tomorrow doesn't matter.

  3. Stevie Winwood.. good stuff!

Last month I found this one by The Doors, and couldn't help but think Jim Morrison saw the future -

So many of yesterday's liberals would never be identified with what their party has become...

  4. Soloman, Steve Winwood has been around a Long time.

Here's one of the early ones with the Spencer Davis Group An all time classic.

I'm with ya on the Doors. Every serious rock and roller since then was trying to duplicate the Doors.

  5. Kid - I know it. I'm a huge fan of the entire British Blues/Rock scene that eventually led up to Cream, Blind Faith, and beyond.
