Counter Insurgency (COIN) worked in IRAQ under General Petraeus' direction.
Now General McChrystal wants to use COIN in Afghanistan (duh), and he needs some amount of resources to do the job and provide the safest environment for our Sons and Daughters (and Friends) who are in Afghanistan now.
I can assure you that General McChrystal isn't interested in putting people in harms way. His primary goals are getting the job done with the fewest but most effective number of our Sons and Daughters in harms way.
Obama apparently wants to haggle and send far less than what is needed. Apparently, he thinks he's at a Fing Mexican Fish Market. Or maybe as has been suggested, he wants to appease the far leftie supporters he has still fawning over him even though he has done a 180 on each and every campaign promise to date. (rolling eyes)
Well, this situation doesn't call for some idiotic rethink of how many resources are needed. The person who is trained and is aware of all of the details has said how many people are needed. Give him what he needs.
The answer is either send what is needed to ensure success or pull the F out and save the lives of a great number of our SONS and DAUGHTERS.
The campaign is over Obama, it's time to make decisions. You know, like what needs to happen in the Executive Branch of government.
But it's typical of Democrat thinking and [lack of] actions. Jimmy Carter doesn't send enough to get the job done and hundreds of Hostages stay in Iran far longer than necessary. I have to add that the hostages were released on the day Ronald Reagan took office.
Many fine American SEALS die in Mogadishu because Clinton sent less than what was needed to 'get the job done'. Not to mention the fact that capturing the biggest cockroach in Mogadishu would have the benefit of walking up to a hornets nest and whacking away with a baseball bat. But now we're back to Carter and the Middle East again. Full Circle Moronics when you're talking liberals.
Here we go again and Maybe 1 out of a 100,000 Americans will have the slightest clue of what happened. Will Obama blame it on Bush? You Betcha !

It is a good thing we already won in Iraq back in 2008, before the election.
ReplyDeleteI have a CNN page saved on my desktop from the early fall of 2008 detailing how the US and Iraqi government signed a pact to have all US Forces out of Iraqi cities and towns by mind-2009. Which has happened. I'll bet google could bring That page up anymore.
But yea, he does want to lose. Add to that the liberals have no imagination what-so-ever for such ventures. If it can't be over in the span of am 8 hour mini-series, they're not interested.
All you have to do is look at how they acted with Iraq to know that.
