Screw Earth Day !

The Earth is a thousand times cleaner now that it was just when I was a kid.  The environmental people have way too much control and I've never met a group that lies as much as they do.  Not even politicians.

Most of you have seen this already, but if not, the first 3/4s of it describes Exactly how I feel.

  2. Ditto, Kid.

And the US has three times the forested acreage now then when Columbus discovered us 500 years ago, but tell that to the tree huggers.

    1. Fredd, Yes, things are so much better today than 40 or 80 or 300 years ago.

Considering 6.5 billion people consuming resources, I find that amazing.

    2. These stupid tree huggers think that we are going to use up all the earth's resources, and then we'll all die. That kind of stupidity is beyond me, this earth is so damn huge and its resources are virtually (if not tecnhically) infinite.

Take oil: I would guess there is so much oil still undiscovered within Gaia's guts, at our current consumption rate we still have enough oil to last us 400 years....but tell that to those stupid tree huggers.

    3. Fredd, Exactly. "Proven reserves" - what the oblabber likes to quote all the time as being 2% of the world's reserves, is active wells. Drilled, and being pumped. There are wells around the US that in the trillions of barrels. We have so much more oil than Middle East. 400 years if not much longer.

And you're right. Food - renewable resource. Water - cleanable, desalinate-able.
      Building materials (Wood) renewable. etc...

I personally don't believe Oil is fossil based btw. Don't know what it is, but I don't believe it's dinosaur goo.
      Mind boggling.

  3. Now there is some movement along the lines that oil and gas is naturally replenished from deep within the earth. And yes, dinosaur goo is not the answer. The earth produces methane gas naturally which I believe is part of the process that results in crude oil formation.
