I agree with all the positive comments, but this one fits well right now. "Masterpiece, God created Mister Satch to save us from low-life earworms come from instant EDM these day. We need this kind of revelation."
I had gotten to the point that I couldn't think of much music that I was halfway interested in listening to. I can't stand radio. I put all the tunes I used to enjoy on a flashdrive to stick in my dash, and over several years, have gotten really tired of most of it. Have been trimming down and adding Joe in particular - Put all his tunes on (100+) and have only subtracted 6 or 7.
What I like about his stuff is that it is very complex and I find I cannot just put the stuff on playback in my mind so it's very hard for me to get tired of. When I listen to a tune like this one, it's a little like I'm hearing it for the first time again. "Searching" is like that too and many others.
PS - When I hear the new stuff they play in the local Chilis, it sounds like music for insects. The musicians can't play and the singers should have never been encouraged to get behind a mic.
You ever listen to Bonamassa?
ReplyDeleteEd, Yea. Honesty being the best policy, I find blues to be pretty boring these days. Joe is stuck in the past imo.
DeleteFunny, this reminds me of Satriani.

DeleteA belated wish and hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend..
ReplyDeleteThanks Bunkerville, it was a good weekend.
DeleteFor what it may be worth I enjoyed this Satriani more than I did the last one.
ReplyDeleteFT, One of my top Satriani favorites.
