Some up front tips.
A Thorium/Molten Salt Reactor was created in the 60's. We didn't do it because that kind of reactor did not create weapons grade nuclear fuel. Now, the cat is out of the bag. Will we replace cancer causing polluting coal plants with Thorium/Molten Salt reactors? Maybe. Some things are beginning to happen already in the USA. China is also looking into it and may be starting their own projects.
But a Thorium Car that could run without fuel for 100 years? Pishaw, Ain't no body gonna allow that don't ya now. THEY need their steady inflow of $$$.
Anyway....
(Disclosure - I do not align myself with the comments made regards Jesus vs Odin)
This thorium/salt thing will certainly put a kaibash on the opulent spending by Saudi princes (of which there are approximately 50,000 of those sponging, useless Arab crap holes). Nifty looking set of wheels, though. I want one. I wonder if they would take my 1976 Country Squire station wagon in for trade?
ReplyDeleteFredd, I contacted them and they Will take your Country Squire in on trade, giving you 4,000 for it and sell you the Thorium chick magnet for 85,000. Or without a trade in, they'll see you the beast for 81 grand. You can't beat that deal.
DeleteFascinating! Amazing! Should be ENCOURAGING, but instead it's very very very SAD in the way it exposes the evils of the unholy partnership between Big Business and Government aka Crony capitalism or Corporatism.
ReplyDeleteI'm an ardent capitalist, and LOVE the idea of PROFIT, but at the same time I HATE unfair manipulative practices designed to EXPLOIT and DEPRIVE average people of the best possible alternatives, instead of getting well paid to serve their needs properly.
Ain't it a shame that Science, Industry, Technology and Government are all morally neutral.
And this is why in my never humble opinion it is a TRAGEDY that we as a nation, have been manipulated through MALIGNANT PROPAGANDA disguised as "Enlightened Thinking," implemented by Government Edict, and enforced through Legal Terrorism into abandoning our fundamentally Christian founding principles in favor of amoral secularism.
If you plant a THORN tree, it ain't gonna yield PEACHES, is it?
FT, I don't believe that anyone does anything for the benefit of mankind. And I view environmentalists as 10 times worse than politicians. I believe they'd kill us all if they could figure out how to profit from something else once we're gone.
DeleteTruer words...
DeleteWell, Kid, that may be true for the vast majority, but we forget too easily a man like Albert Schweitzer, and Mother Teresa, and a wonderful doctor I knew who had been a medical missionary to India for 35 years. She was a brilliant woman with a superb education who could have earned millions if she'd stayed in the United States and conducted a standard medical practice, but instead she was sincerely moved to lead a life of hardship and constant sacrifice, because she truly believed it was a God-mandated thing to help the neediest on earth.
DeleteShe was "retired" when I met, and DONATING her expert services to a Free Clinic in one of the most wretched neighborhoods in our country. She also founded and helped staff an Art League in that blighted community to help the people there develop a sense of self-worth by seeing, for themselves, that there was a lot more to life than eating, sleeping and making babies.
TRUE Christians may be a small minority, but there are more than you might think, and wherever they are, life seems saner, more hopeful, and a great deal more pleasant than it appears elsewhere.
We should try to remember this too: "The great are rarely famous, the famous rarely great."
NOTHING has any value at all, unless it is infused with the Spirit of Charity.
I'm sorry if that sounds sanctimonious, but I've seen it for myself, and known it to be true in my own rather long life.
FT, No problem with your reply. Yes, nothing is all encompassing. I will however counter with the fact that the number of people actually effecting positive change is like pissing into space when compared with the number of people who are constantly fucking everything up. I hope I haven't depressed you.
DeleteIt is interesting technology, but I can't watch or listen to this 'young turk' marxist atheist hack about anything. He is a propagandist liar of the worst kind. I want to slap him. Repeatedly. Oh, and just think of all the lovely dirty bombs these cars could make. No thanks.
ReplyDeleteDaBlade. If you want to slap the shit out of someone how about that moslems vermin burka clad Fucktoid who cut the head off a 4 year old child in Moscow. Dirty bombs? no Monsieur, Thorium is much more plentiful than Uranium in our soil. Your house ir probably built on a cache of Thorium. You can sprinkle that stuff on your pasta and no problemo. Well....
DeleteI thought the Parmesan was a little funky last night! OK, sign me up. For the car, and for the lib punch-fest.
DeleteDaBlade, You're on the list man.
DeleteJake Tapper(CNN) - “Will you unequivocally condemn David Duke and say that you don't want his vote or that of other white supremacists in this election?
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump, GOP presidential candidate) - “Well, just so you understand, I don't know anything about David Duke, OK? I don't know anything about what you're even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists. So, I don't know. I don't know, did he endorse me or what's going on, because, you know, I know nothing about David Duke. I know nothing about white supremacists. And so you're asking me a question that I'm supposed to be talking about people that I know nothing about.
The question asked of Trump is pretty straight forward and difficult, if not impossible, to misunderstand. Trump's response is also very clear. From the clarity of Mr. Trumps response one can only deduce that candidate Trump fully understood the question Tapper asked.
Progressive? Progressive = Communist. Dude, you need to gain some critical thinking skills and come back later. :)
DeleteI want one !
ReplyDeleteC
C-CS, Me Too.
DeleteI'd rather have a Batmobile. I don't much about it, but I don't like the idea of sitting on thorium.
ReplyDeleteCube, in fact, you are probably walking across thorium deposits daily. It is very plentiful.
