Maybe I could say any free civilized society requires participation by the majority.
Maybe I could even say that a socialist society requires participation by the majority. Maybe that's even more sensitive to coordinated effort since there are more people to support. More people who are not giving, but rather receiving. A Double Whammy. Like some loser is not only Not paying taxes, but they are also demanding a share of the taxes others are paying.
Now what um Sayin?
A simple example. Red Lights. People continue to assume there is a 2 to 4 second grace period where they can run a red light, at least in Cincinnati. Quickly that becomes the norm. Structure, rules of the road go by the wayside. In heavier traffic, people who were waylayed by rude Bastids going through the red light in the opposing traffic situation now feel cheated and have no problem evening up the score so they too assume a 2 to 4 (+1) grace period on the red light.
It escalates. The situation falls apart. Non-participation in the traffic light situation causes the Entire System to fail. Chaos.
We have massive societal chaos now. 92 million people of working age out of work and not even looking. Jobs may not even be there. Many more people going to college taking out loans for 100k that they'll not pay back for the most part.
In short, the people propping up the building are becoming so much less than the building weighs. Picture the Empire State Building supported by a bunch of toothpicks. It isn't going to last. It is going to come crashing down and the people most hurt by it will be the takers/losers who haven't learned how to survive without a handout.
Chaos is coming if America continues to vote for democrats. Maybe even if they vote for repubblekins too. Just sayin.
"We aint' lookin too good right now." as said by a NASA dude in the movie Armageddon to which Truman replied "No Shit".

ReplyDeleteA socialist society means worker ownership. Hardly not participating.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you low functionals continue to conflate socialism and the social welfare state?
Important correction: A socialist society means worker AND NON-WORKER ownership. Big, HUGE difference. A socialist society allows access to its collective resources by all, regardless of their input into producing value as perceived by that society. That is what Kid is trying to convey. Those non-workers hardly participate.
DeletePoint me to a socialist country where the workers own jack. They're only allowed to suck on the government teat when it's available. Man you're stupid.
DeleteKid: your red light analogy is apt. It can be taken even farther: if you have ever driven a car in Italy (I have much experience on Italian roads and Auto Stradas) you know this to be true. On Italian streets, while there are traffic laws on the books governing who has right of way, the rule of the road in effect is whoever gets to a spot first has right of way. The effective rule on Italian streets is that if you see space between your car and anything else, you go for it. The bold rule the streets in Italy. On a typical day in Rome, the narrow streets are jammed with cars going in every direction, and intersections jammed with cars that have ignored the traffic signals and are packed into any available space on the road.
ReplyDeleteIn Western societies (of which Italy is on the border of being one), if something is desired by more people than is available at the moment (either space on the road, or a meal at a vendor stand, you name it), we form lines. First come, first served. This is a cultural norm that disapperas as culture disintegrates. In Italy, there are no lines. People push and shove to where they desire to go, whether it is in traffic or to get a cup of coffee. The bigger and bolder the individual, the faster he or she is served.
We are heading in that direction. And it is not a good direction.
I agree Fredd.
DeletePLUG may be heating up again. Or maybe it's just a short squeeze.
When's PHOT heating up?
DeleteFredd, it's been left for dead so Maybe Soon !

ReplyDeletePlus we have a huge import called poverty.Like him or not and I do Alan Keyes said it best.
ReplyDeletehere
Lisa, I couldn't agree more. Thanks for the link!
DeleteThis is it. It fits this post. We have become a population of people so dependent they can't afford to care where the country is taken. There are other categories like stupid, etc, but this seems the major theme.
A socialist state is one in which "the workers" do what the hell they're told. Speaking of "low functional," only a committed Marxist like Ducky could attempt to defend communism/socialism in the face of its failed and utterly miserable history. Let me clarify this, though ... when I wrote "low functional," I didn't mean to suggest that Ducky was low functional. He's actually -14 points below absolute zero on that scale.
ReplyDeleteSam, the life of cattle simply appeals to some people.
DeleteThe underlying lesson here, it would seem is that it doesn't take much to destroy a nation like the USA. All it takes is a rabid communist president and scum like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. It can be done. Snap!
ReplyDeleteMustang, wouldn't it be nice if more people could learn from lessons.
DeleteGad, this post interested me so much that I emailed you privately Kid and thought about Fredd and Italy, and didn't realize I hadn't commented here! (alert the media :-)
ReplyDeleteBut, seriously; Fredd is so right. About Italy and France's traffic/driving. And it's such a good analogy.
I wonder if a country can become so populated it doesn't work anymore?
Z, Thank you for stopping by, this place always needs a woman's touch !
ReplyDeleteI can't remember where I've heard of the worst drivers - Mexico? Russia? Cincinnati ??
The edge has never been so close. When you lose control of education, the ignorant mob will take over.
ReplyDeleteAdmiral, education Is the key
