Deputy Prime Minster Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal-Democrat Party, has proposed a one-time tax on the wealth (rather than the incomes) of high-net-worth Britons. The details aren’t clear, but Clegg says the country is facing an economic war caused by a prolonged recession, and needs to tax the rich in order to avoid social unrest.
If I may, a Translation: The British government has decided that "people with more wealth than they need" (who gets to decide?..) can be stripped of their extra unneeded wealth.
You can bet your ass that the democrats will do the same thing here if the losers of America vote their pathetic asses back into majority office. Got a 401k perhaps that some asshole will decide you don't need right now?
This is what happens when governments can't stop spending money they don't have and run the credit cards up like sex crazed and drunken kardashian women.

ReplyDeleteTCL, especially since these last 4 years has been full of stuff that most of us couldn't believe we'd see from a government. I would have said 'our government' but the concept that this is government by the people and for the people is laughably absurd.

I fear that too many people here also need experience as a teacher.
I think that BHO plans to do the same here in America if he is re-elected.

Why do you think Ryan has given a copy of "Atlas Shrugged" to all of his staffers? Because it is what the modern day left is actually doing. What was "fiction" in the 1950's is twenty-first century reality. I recommend reading it if you haven't or re-reading it if you last read it in college or high school. Europe (Great Brittan) is playing out just as Ayn Rand prophesized in her book.
Rosey, Yes, they either steal or waste enough money through their incompetence that eventually they need to steal from the populace. (well, they're always stealing) but in a case like this where they simply say we need money and they're not even borrowing it, they confiscating it. They're taking money from the contributors and many who simply did the right thing, working hard and saving for a nice retirement and building some wealth to pass along to the family and the gov simple confiscates it.

Well, as far as libs go, Atlas Shrugged will do them no good, they don't have the attention span or interest to even get through the first chapter. Some conservatives can't get through the first chapter. But they're making it into a movie and at least part 1 of 3(?) is already out. Maybe some will see that.
I like how Ted Neugent puts it. Deer (Libs) are like the French, They're only interested in getting sex, then food, then figuring out how to get away without paying. Exceptions for everything but of course Mademoiselle and Monsieur.

But Oh... I have no doubt the DNC thing is going to be so over the top, it will make me upchuck. We know this from the first one, then while the imbecile was in office,saying he is one of the 4 best presidents and the media photo-shopping his face into pictures of past memorable presidents. Good God this is going to be rude.
