Chet makes it look SO easy...so smooth.....like his fingers don't hurt (they probably still do a little!), effortless...He is a GENIUS!! Loved it...and appreciate the bassist, the way he 'honors' Chet's dynamics...following him 100%....thanks Kid..nice stuff. Not sure I'd 'cut a rug' to it as you suggested, but I enjoyed it :-)
Thanks Z. This is one of my favorites when I'm in the mood for it. The other guy in there is Paul Yandell, Chet's long time Rodey, taking care of the equipment and logistics for all the gigs. Hard to hang around Chet and not develop an interest for guitar.
I think he was just adding a little rythm backing on this one.
Z, yea, Chet played all the bass notes as usual. He's also been known to string up an actual bass string in the low E position (6th string) and play the real low bass notes.
Z, I'd have to put them both as #1. Arguments for Chet would include his extensive body of work and technical perfection - at least in his recordings. Arguments for Tommy would be that Tommy can play things that Chet probably couldn't and Tommy's songwriting ability. I think Tommy could play anything Chet recorded also.
Adrienne, As Tommy Emmanuel said about him "When you watch him play he seems so casual about it that it's easy to forget what's going on there is really pretty difficult."
While I completely agree with Conservative-Libertarians' detestation of the late Justice Ginsburg's leftist, manifestly unconstituional, anti-American, pro-Globalist thoughts on POLICY-MAKING, I believe it important to recognize, as the late Antonin Scalia did, that her unique identity as a WOMAN, a PERSON and FELLOW HUMAN BEING deserved more consideration –– and APPRECIATION –– exclusive of her politics.
SCALIA and GINSBURG could not had been farther apart politically. Their professed personal ideals were diametrically opposed, YET both were smart –– and humane enough –– to appreciate the considerable virtues, and remarkable accomplishments each had attained.
RBG was a Red Diaper Baby born into the Brooklyn Jewish Community that almost universally embraced and actively promoted COMMUNISM in the first half of the twentieth-century –– beyond. Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were, perhaps, the most egregious exemplars of the deplorable mentality that prevailed particularly among Brooklyn Jews at the time. If you don't want to believe me, please read David Howowitz's confessional condemnation of his OWN Jewish family and the vhemently seditious JEWISH COMMUNIST COMMUNITY of which they were active advocates and devoted supporters.
No one can help the milieu into which he was born, any more than a Negro can be held personally responsible for the color of his skin, or a homosexual can be held responsible for his sexual orientation. Hope still springs eternal that the moral blindness that comes with traditional ethnic and cultural traits and mores may one day be overcome.
Franco, I never read CI or duck. I occasionally trip over them somewhere and do a drive-by, almost never following up on replies. Someone has to let them know occasionally how jacked up in the brain they are even knowing it will have zero effect.
Personally, I don't give a shit about her identity as anything. If she were some freak walking around in San Fran, sure whatever floats her boat. I only care that she brought havoc upon the American population with her anti-constitutional SC Rulings. For one example, There is not a doctor to my knowledge that would agree there is any medical reason for an abortion in the third trimester outside of an unforseen accident. That ginsberg thought she was more knowledgeable than the medical community in order to give a complete pass to partial birth abortion knowing full well that these things would be going on without a valid medical excuse causes me to give a shit less about her or her family for that matter. She's on a par with Joe Stalin, or Mengele. I'm not passing judgement, that's not up to me but I am glad for the sake of America she is gone. That some number of liberals heads may literally explode like those Martians in the movie Mars Attacks is just icing on the cake.
I could write more but I care so little that I'm not inspired to keep poking keys on my keyboard.
Well that was awesome!
ReplyDeleteAs they say LSP, the boy could play !
