  1. Impressive aircraft, but I prefer terra firma. The more firma, the less terra 😉

    4. Franco, A surprising development to some extent. Now how are the democrats going to attack Amy Barret for example? We're likely going to get 6-3 Court now. And if DJT gets re-elected, a 6.5 to 7 vs 2 to 2.5 court. That will be a good thing. Roberts can't be trusted.

    5. Franco, Yes, this may very well be a Gift From God, just as DJ Trump was.

    6. Sorry, Kid. I jumped the gun.. There have been no follow up articles to confirmthe headlne I quoted. I still think RBG is probably on her last legs, but right now we don't really know what's going to happen.

Nothing to do but wait and see...

Sorry. I didn't mean to mislead.

    1. Sam, I have added that to my Amazon order for an Ohio Class Nuklar sub, Bristling with nuclear weapons. I'm looking for a mostly all girl crew, ala Dr Strangelove's ideas for repopulating the USA. Perhaps you can help with that if I guarantee you a seat.

  4. There was a Base Jumping Documentary on T.V....for the most part, the ending is not so swell. Apparently they get a special thrill getting as close to walls as possible. Almost all had broken bones at some point... one was paralyzed. About as smart a sport as free rock climbing or whatever its called. Straight up without a rope.

    1. Bunk, yea, it's called proximity flying. Jokke Sommer has some good ones on you tube.
Look for Dream Lines 1 thru 4 if interested.

He sure is not casual about it. Uses google Earth and other resources to research pitch angle of the mountainside, sets up check points so you always know what is in front of you.

His long time cameraman Ludovich Woerth, also very experienced, was out with some other guys one day, came around a turn and instead of more down angle mountain found a flat field that they were so close to they had no chance of deploying the parachute. He's gone.

  5. I have NEVER seen ANYTHING which made me WANT to do something as badly as I do NOT want to do the same something...until this! HOLY COW!!! Would I take off? I'd like to think so. My husband used to say I was chicken about the silliest things and (in his opinion) WAY too brave when things were truly SCARY (like being on a plane they thought was on fire!) Ah, well. So, with this thing, you can turn and go up/down on your own volition, right? I might do it. I think. Maybe :-)

DEFINITELY no 'proximity' flying...that'd be where you could get close enough to break bones, right? Give me the wide open spaces!! And a barf bag :-)

Lots of images, youtubes and everything else about this aircraft. Test bed for the space shuttle re-entry and maybe even the SR-71. Interesting that it did not have a very pointy nose.
