All the Best President Reagan and Thank You.

I hope you and Nancy are together again

  1. Because I could not stop for Death,
    He kindly stopped for me.
The carriage geld, but just ourselves ––
    And Immortality.

    We slowly drove ––
    He knew no haste ––
    And I had put away
My labor and my leisure too
    For His Civility.

    We passed the school
    Where children played ––
    Their lessons scarcely done.
We passed the fields of gazing grain ––
    We passed the setting Sun.

    We paused before a house
Which seemed a swelling of the ground ––
The roof was scarcely visible ––
    The cornice but a mound.

    'Tis centuries since then,
But each feels shorter than the day
I first surmised the horse's heads
    Were towards –– Eternity.

    ~ Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)

Posted in memory of Mrs. Ronald Reagan, who died yesterday at the age of ninety-four, and in the hope that those horses will lead Mrs. Reagan back to the loving arms of her husband, and that they may live together in eternal peace and harmony forever. - FT

    1. FT, Yes, good words, but I don't see death as having any grand nature to it. Just a pure and simple return to who we are as individual persons/souls. Naked in the light for all to see, and if we can't exist that way and be accepted in Heaven then we go somewhere else.

One thing for sure, there won't be many democrats where I end up and that's a good thing.

    1. Ed, I couldn't possibly even imagine how I'd critique her. If she was good enough for Ronald Reagan...

  3. Mr. AOW personally knew the Reagans because of Mr. AOW's mother in the California GOP.

Nancy was not really a stuffed shirt. She got down on the floor and played with the kids when the Reagans came over for dinner.

We shall not see the like of the Reagans again. The world's loss, IMO.

    1. AOW, yes, these two lived through some hard times. And Nancy quit her acting career just to support Ronald. Stuff like that says it all about people. SHe actually did important things in the white house as well. No first lady out did her for sure. And think of the incredible contrast to today's occupants.

I saw a headline "What will be michele obama's legacy as first lady?" The only think I can come up with is first incredibly incompetent, money burning, 22 assistants and still can't accomplish shit, racist ghetto bitch in the white house.

      That's all I got.

  4. This is THE nicest post/image I've seen on her passing. God bless you, Kid

  5. I dunno if we'll ever see the likes of Ron in the WH again. But we can dream. Frankly, I think we're far beyond that now ... too much damage done already - that's why Obugger and his trained ape are in now for the past 7 years.
