This design which WHT has been leaving around in the blogosphere is so wonderful that I've nabbed it as a Christmas script. I did remove the Happy New Year part -- but only for today.
AOW, ASCII Codes provide the ability to construct text that contains characters not found on your keyboard. Doing this would take a bit of effort not only in the design but placing each character in just the right position. I know MS Word gives you the ability to insert special characters using the appropriate ASCII code and there may be another step(s) involved to take it from MS Word (Or whatever other text editor may have been used) to cause it to be accepted as text by wordpress and blogger (at least) as a valid comment.
ASCII art can be generated automatically from any image. In fact, it can be done 24 times a second, so if you're so inclined you can watch video rendered entirely as ascii characters. (Don't laugh, it's useful if you need to test a file on a server without a graphical environment... who am i kidding, it's for messing around with!)
Merry Christmas, my friend ... my best wishes to you and all of those whom you love. Yes, let us pray for peace on earth ... and also justice. Remember the many Christians who are being persecuted by the Moslem vermin while most in the world seem not to care. After all, they are only Christians. God help us!
Merry Christmas Mustang, Yes, there is nothing better to pray for than for those in harms way, especially the Christians at the hands of moslem savages.

ReplyDeleteAndy Williams's version of "Silent Night" was my beloved aunt's favorite version of this carol. I think of her every time I hear Andy Williams.
I miss my aunt. She left us in 2010, and Christmas hasn't been the same since for our family.
Merry Christmas, Kid.
Sorry to hear of your Aunt passing. There are some people we knew that will always be missed.

DeleteAndy Williams was a Christmas tradition in my home as a youngster, and I'm very fond of his rendition of "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year."
ReplyDeleteOf course, Amy Grant does a good job on that ditty as well.
Fredd, as soon as I read the title, I could immediately hear his voice singing it. Yes, a Great tune.

DeleteKid,
DeleteMan, that looks like a lot of work!
AOW, yes, it would be and I haven't tried it myself.
DeleteAnd it may have been HTML Codes but I don't see the star character in there.
