Mammatus Clouds

Aren't these like Breasts in the Sky ?    A man could spend an entire afternoon lying in the grass looking skyward.

Nature repeats nature which repeats nature which repeats nature is what I'm thinking.

Anyway, click the picture to find out more.

  2. I looked into the clouds and saw a giant abacus. Then I read what you saw. I think we both may need therapy and a vacation.

  3. The meteorologist from the morning show on HLN is also fond of these clouds and the southwestern haboobs, too. It must be a guy thing :) In all seriousness, the picture you provided is an amazing example of mammatus clouds.

APOD has cool stuff all the time. Mostly space but the occasional Earth bound rarity.

  5. It kind of gives all new meaning to those cute pictures we see of little boys who've thrown their bike to the ground and got on their backs on the grass, with a piece of hay between their teeth and arms crossed under their heads......I used to think they were pondering life. Stupid ME :-)
