Sounds Like a Twlight Zone Episode
A Star the mass of our sun but only as large as a small town... Colors not explained and apparently Lucy wasn't available to fill in the blanks...(Blues are usually Oxygen, Greens are Helium and Orange/Reds are Hydrogen and/or Sulphur)

Z, well, Lucy was supposed to Splain it to us. and Finda the Pope-a Ina the Pizza is just a way to get folks to explore this crazy topsey turvey mixed up nebula in greater detail and hopefully find greater inner peace with themselves.
