They Say, Yes. The days of talent. Here's a little Trivia. Jeb (Buddy Ebsen) was originally cast to play the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz - because of his dance moves, and some dance scenes were originally envisioned, but he almost died from inhaling the aluminum dust they used to color him. The eventual Tin Man makeup used a different technique and the dance scenes were cut.
Hi, did you know that Margaret Hamilton (the bad witch) got second degree burns on her face and third degree on her hands during the second take of the scene where she disappears into fire from the Munchkins? she was out many weeks from filming.
Earl Scruggs played the Bev. Hillbillies music? SO SO GOOD! Nice to do a post for him; what a super musician!
Uncle Jeb could step to that.
ReplyDeleteGranny had some moves to that too.

DeleteI loved his playing and what a voice. R.I.P.
ReplyDeleteThe old days of Flatt and Scrggs.
Admiral, Like artists, appreciated after they're gone. These early pioneers of everything didn't make much money.

Hi Z, I didn't know that.
