That "CGP" on the neck of his guitar stands for Certified Guitar Player. The moniker was given to him by Chet Atkins who gave it to himself originally as a bit of humor. He since gave one to Tommy and one to Steve Wariner. Some humor is also involved there too but Chet certainly respected each of their ability to play. In case you were wondering.
It's almost impossible to think this isn't two great guitarists playing together..he plays the melody and the accompaniment, or background broken chords...astonishing. I sent it to my guitar-lovin' bro-in-law, too...thanks. And nice background story! CGP...ya, I"D SAY SO! :-)
ReplyDeleteHe's been playing melody, rythm, and accompaniment for a long time Z. As he says, he heard Chet on the radio in Australia as a young man and had to figure out how to do it. Tommy and Chet became good friends and spent some time together over here.
DeleteI suppose he has, it just seemed more pronounced here somehow...absolutely amazing. Boy, I'll bet you would have loved to have sat with Chet and Tommy in one of their jams!!

DeleteThere is massive voter fraud going on. The Democrats extended the misery of 2020, and NO ONE ELSE through their crooked schemes and extra legal extension of the election in contradiction with election law.
ReplyDeleteNo one is going to trust this election. Millions of fraudulent ballots are turning up everywhere and all kinds of irregularities at key states.
If somehow Biden and the Democrat Party gets away with this, Half the country will despise him. The GOP will refuse to work with him and he will be a lame duck senile incompetent president from the second he is sworn in.
I expect it will get worse for him in 2022 when The GOP takes The House in retribution, and increases their lead in The Senate which will make Joe what he always has been, useless.

Delete-If the dem voters aren't disgusted with the dems now they never will be.
-The GOP Senate won't fight anyone, they'll roll over like lap dogs like they always do.
-If the dems get away with this level of fraud they'll just turn up the volume and take over the entire government the next couple elections.
