Adrienne, you did kick my mind into gear apparently and my subconscious worked out how Shin did the last part of that trick.
-Divine the guy's card - not too hard for these guys. -When Shin made the 4 piles he put a jack on the bottom of each pile, knowing which pile had the jack of clubs. -He had the guy pick the pile and when he pointed to one of those without the jack of clubs, he said give it to someone else, then when he pointed to the pile with the jack of clubs he let him take that pile for himself. -Burn as many cards as you want but don't burn them all. -Here is where it works out - he has them count the number of cards they have left and as they do they reverse the order of the pile from bottom to top putting the jack on top in each pile. His other acts are pretty mind boggling though. I know how he does this thing or that things, but it only amounts to maybe 2% of what he does. Pretty simplistic actually
Going through the youtubes of the got talent shows, Simon Cowell has said he now believes in magic. Some of that stuff is unreal. One guy was performing at the judges table and dropped Mel B's phone into her water glass, then pulled it out put it in a black bag and stuck the end of a hair dryer in A second later the phone was gone. Guy had Amanda call Mel B's phone and it was ringing twenty rows or so back in the theater. The Guy and Mel go back and you can hear the phone ringing in one of the seat cushions, Guy cuts the seat open with a knife and with no slight of hand has Mel reach into the seat padding to retrieve her phone. How the hell do you do That? I don't wanna know. :)
I think the first gate in magic is that the people viewing expect an amazing trick; psychologically, they are prepared to be amazed. And then I think it is a matter of mechanical manipulation. Pretty darned amazing, though. I had a friend years ago who could do "magic" tricks, and he was pretty good at it. He even built his own airplane in the garage of his house. A remarkable fellow. But as to his tricks, he would never reveal how he did it ... which is the mark of a true magician. Now, if only he could make Pelosi disappear.
Seeing PELOUSY, ADAM SCHITT, JERROLD WADDLER, AOC, ILHAN OMAR, (that HIJAB-HEADED BITCH from SOMALIA), RATSHITA TLAIB, SCHUMER, that bastard AL GREEN from TEXAS, and ALL the RINO's gunned down in a hailstorm of machine gun bullets then left to ROT where they fall till the birds and the rats pick their bones clean is my favorite wet dream of the moment.
Now THAT would be an act of REAL magic. WOO hOO!
It would go down in hstory as The Thanksgiving Day Massacre An event to be venerated and celebrated through Eternity!
Then we'd REALLY have something to be thankful for, wouldn't we? If that were to happen, we might even be able to get lur nation back.
Mustang, Exactly, we want to be entertained. Same with movies. If I'm watching a movie and start thinking about how the lighting, directing, etc is being done, so that the story doesn't have my full attention, it's not a good movie.
