Texas Flood - Stevie Ray

All the best to the people in the way of the water.

Mr Vaughn could play the guitar.  Another dang airplane accident put an end to it.  Alternate link to Texas Flood since the below vid has been blocked due to copyright.

    1. It's a good one IMP. Clapton said "All good guitar players would occasionally get lost, but not Stevie, he was an open channel".

  3. Nothing new here.
Just the weather / climate change nuts trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
When I was a teen age-er (1960's) the rain went on for 21 days straight. Dams broke and rivers went over their banks for a long way.
People choose to live by the waters edge.
The last few years tho the Counties have forced the sale of properties (Buyout) of those who file flood damage claims two times in a row.
So, some people do not file anymore. They love their river side place more than money.

  4. MY GOSH, THAT is GUITAR PLAYING! Kid, I think he's my fave over all the fantastic guitarists you've introduced me to. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Blues. And MY GOSH, he rocked. Check this out "At the height of Vaughan's substance abuse, he drank a quart of whiskey and used a quarter ounce of cocaine each day" I just Wiki'd him and he had a horrible life ...packed a lot of bad stuff into almost 40 years, but brother, could he PLAY!

TS/WS, as I was listening to TEXAS FLOOD, I have to admit my mind went there, too. "Boy, you think it was flooding THEN...!" So, it's flooded THIS BAD over the years...21 days straight of rain.
And they act like this is the first wet season Texas has ever had........not denying IT IS BAD< of course!

Thanks, Kid. I'm going to listen to the bottom video now. WHAT guitar!

  7. Vaughan's guitar work blows me away every time. As to the Texas flooding, the news channels just feel the need to grab some ratings in their reporting. I know, it's shameless.

    1. Cube, other guitarists say Stevie was not of this world. Personally, I've never heard anyone do what he can. Really fast between notes and chords for example, like on Scuttle Buttin

Yea, the news people are in it for the money (and supporting the democrats)
