  2. THAT IS ALL GORGEOUS! I see blue flowers I've never seen before; and my favorite colored flower is BLUE (real blue, that is, not those awful dyed carnations!) And is that DOGWOOD? I 'm not sure we have them here....and lilacs, or something like them?

Your yard is stunning...I enjoyed this so much I'm sure I'll come and look again! Thanks, Kid! GOOD JOB!!

    1. Thank You Z ! I updated the post pictures with descriptions. You are a good at identifying the flowers. Those blue are Clematis and are very plentiful and the plant grows about as high as whatever it can cling to (fencing in this case) and the flowers are top to bottom. In summer we'll have Canna and Butterfly plants which attract hummingbird and butterfly of course.

  3. Daffodils....I love them. I miss spring...but I'm not willing to go through a winter like you've had to see it.

  4. IMP, I'm looking forward to saying Adios ! to winters in a few years. Spring is nice, but most of this stuff only lasts a couple weeks. As I was photographing one thing some of the other stuff was already gone. I liked winter in Arizona, lasting from about Dec 1 thru Jan 15 with lowest day temps of 55, usually 65.

The deep blue and white star shaped flower is Clematis and will continue to flower into summer.

  5. Just 10 days ago, there was snow on my yard near Chicago. Snow. Yesterday it was 90 out. Midwest. Gotta love it. Nice photos, we have a few flowers that didn't mind the snow all that much. And our asparagus shrugged it off without note.

    1. Thanks Fredd. We actually had a little spring here. Usually, it's frost then 2 days later 90.

    2. Fredd, Gold might just take another dive here with all the 'great' economic news around us... I'm betting on it short term at least same way as last time. I still like Plug for the watch list. Possibly a big deal to finalize with Plug and Hysco in China in July. If anything came of it it would be some rocket fuel.

  6. Were those shots shot with a camera-phone, or a good camera?
Hard to tell these days except for the long distance pics--a good camera beats a camera-phone anytime.

    1. TS/WS, most were camera phone. The closeup of the large rododendron and the wooden walkway area was a $300 digital Kodak.
