I have a college friend who's lived in Paris since 1967! <br />Loves it there, and would never even dream of coming back to the USA. <br /><br />He is just a year younger than I, and has had several serious medical crises to deal with in the past <br />ten years, as many 'our age" tend to do.<br /><br />HE says the French system of healthcare is THE best in the world. HE claims it's as close to perfection <br />as anythng dealing wth mortal beings could be. <br /><br />But then he has become a commited SOCIALIST since we were young, and thinks ill of his native land. But my feeling was that it was the small stuff which was good (PT, regular appointments, etc.) and it was the expensive, high-ticket medical problems which one had to wait for, like surgeries, hip replacements, etc. But, in general, they were VERY happy with their care in London, Ontario. Go Figure.
