I am SUCH a chauvinist PIG that I can't get used to women playing MANLY instruments, imagine? As if an instrument has a gender? LIke Karen Carpenter playing drums...REALLY? Am I weird, or WHAT?! I also don't love accompanying myself on the piano...though I don't consider the piano MASCULINE! WHat's with ME? :-)
Z, I think the trombone playing woman is pretty sexy. Lots of female Trumpet players on youtube also. Some playing classical. But you may just be an old fashioned girl. And there's nothing wrong with that.
Women on drums is kinda strange though even to me.
