  1. This is one of the first times I didn't stay up to watch. We have a very clear shot and a very "big" sky to watch them. I just can't stay up that late anymore.

    1. Adrienne, I don't stay up either. We don't have much sky here, and what we don't have in sky we have in mosquito.

  2. We got overcast last night, so the wife and I read together and went to bed. Sorry to have missed this one.

    1. Euripides. Maybe when we're back in some big sky country out west again. It hasn't been worth it here.

    1. Ed, Yea. Well, I enjoy watching anyway if I'm in a good spot.

  4. Missed the Perseid meteor shower this year---cloudy here, plus background light. A few years back when I lived in Florida, took my boat out about 10 miles in Gulf and really got to enjoy the event.

  5. I didn't catch them this year, but I've seen them many times before. We watched one of the winter showers (Leonids or Geminids) one year and I stopped counting at 50+. It was the most amazing display I've ever seen.
